I just wanted to share a moment I had. First I can finally get on my horse by myself BIG moment for me, so I taught horse back riding at a boy scout camp this summer as i was helping an adult leader "a large man" get on his horse the saddle was rolling to the side, he blamed it on his size I assured him it happens to alot of people and that it has to do with the shape of the horse as much as the size of the person and explained that mine rolls on some of my horses to which he replied "why your not a big woman" I wanted to jump off my horse and kiss him, poor man didn't know how close he came to being attacked. It was only a small moment but it did so much for me, It is something i am tring to remember when dealing with others in ever day life just think what it would be like if we each helped someone else have a WOW moment each day. Pat give someone a WOW moment today

Hi Pat, What a great experience...I'm glad that you can get on your horse again! I can just feel the humiliation and shame that the "large man" felt. I've been there, we've all been there, and it was so kind of you to explain to him that it may not have been his size, either. It was things like that that kept me from doing things. I was just too embarrassed. I agree, let's WOW someone today! paula

Hi Pat, that is wonderful!! And congratulations on getting on the horse. That is a big wow!! You know you are so right about giving someone a wow moment, and I think one of my worse fat memories was a plane trip I had to San Diego and I got stuck in the middle seat and some little twit on my side said 'I just need my space' -- I'll never forget it and how humilated I was. I was squeezed in as tight as I could be, had my arms folded and was tryng to be as small as a 300 pound woman can be. I've thought about that so much and how it really ruined my trip, it was all I could think of on my time in San Diego. Well, I have always thought that I wish that an overweight woman, or man, would sit next to me on one of my flights out west now, and knowing how they probably feel, just say to them, don't worry, there's plenty of room for all of us! But then they'd probably say to me 'yeah, well if you would diet or something it woulld be easier'!! Ha Ha. But I am going to make it a point to give someone a wow moment tomorrow!! Thanks foir the post love donna

What a great wow moment. One of my personal goals was to be able to ride a horse again. My boys have never been and it was something my DH and I did yearly before I became to heavy. Even more so thanks for taking the time to make a "heavy" person more comfortable. If nothing ever comes of our new weight I hope that the world becomes a more friendly place for those who are still struggling just to get along in a very unfriendly world. donna
