What I learned about Heather!
Please please please read this remarkable woman's profile. As are most profiles, it is so emotional and open. Thank you Heather for sharing your story. You know so many times I say 'oh, I wish I could do something for that kid' or something along that line when I see someone who doesn't have a perfect home condition -- well meet Heather, who is the mother of 5 teenage boys (are they all still teenagers??) anyway, she is a fantastic woman, with an enormous heart to share and open her home.
I think most of us say that emotions lead us to eating, and Heather certainly has had her fill of emotional times. You're doing great, honey, keep it up.
And what a beauty she is! And her story is so interesting. Thanks Heather for the day's menu, I always like to know how and what people are eating, and also for the info on the tropical Oasis -- I'm going to check out the website!
Again, please read abou Heather -- I got a nice big glass of protein drink, and just slowly sipped and enjoyed getting to know her better.
love

You are something honey! I was having the worst day today when I came home to find this on the board. It really made it so much better. The hubby is trying to quit smoking. It's not fun for either of us. Yes, the boys are all still teenagers. The three oldest are going to be seniors this year and all graduate in June. My babies. shh.. they hate that.. are 15 and 14. Davey, my austistic boy is the youngest and yes there have been many emotional days.
When I HAVE to emotionally eat, it is rasberries and coolwhip or sunflower seeds. The fruit fills me up and the seeds fill the need for munching.
This surgery and the changes physically and mentally have been crazy.. when they say "ride" they MEAN it, don't they?
