Chips, ice cream, candy
Yup, that is what my house has been filled with the last two weeks with my daughter and grandkids around. The last two just left yesterday - I'm pooped!! But here's what I want to say -- to all you mothers out there, and others that have husbands, significant others, etc that still like to have 'junk' in the house -- God Bless You!! I didn't eat any of it, but I have to tell you another day or two and I might just succumb!! It sure looked good - just as I remember it!! Oh, and the trips to the fast food places with french fries hanging around (Grandma, I can't finish these, do you want them!!), ugh --- deliver me from temptation!!!
So to those of you that fight these food battles every day - congratulations on the good fight!! I admire you, respect you, and even if you have little nibbles now and then -- well so be it, you are living life!!
And now I go back to my boring little routine for which I am oh so thankful and my boring little refrigerator that now looks empty, and the fruit loop box that is now empty with its contents tossed out to the squirrels (enjoy you little furry pigs)!!

Wow your doing awesome better than I am!!! I gained 3 lbs this week and I Think its because of chocolate I told my coworkers I NEED chocolate because of mother nature calling and gawd I was craving it like Ihave NEVER craved before!! So everyone brought me chocolate, chocolate, chocolate. So now I have it on the counter at work for EVERYONE ELSE to grab instead of me to get rid of it. I promised myself I would go all week not eating any chocolate at all!! I so such a emotional eater it is not funny. Congratualations on not being tempted by any of it, actually I know your tempted you just didn't give in to it so thats AWESOME!! I am WEAK!!!!! hehe But I promise not to have any more chocolate this week to all my OH peeps!!!
My downfall is a tall, iced, caramel macchiato from Starbucks. At least I can order it with the non-fat milk and it does have lots of protein! Not too bad nutritional-wise (at least that's what I tell myself). I haven't gained any weight but have been holding steady for over a month now. I'm pretty happy where I am at.

Hey Michelle, I think I just threw out the last of the goodies!! I have to get rid of them because I don't have much will power -- surprise surprise! I know what you mean about chocolate, and in fact that was one place I went with my daughter, Hershey PA. It was so fun - and the whole town smelled like chocolate. Yum
Oh, and you are so right, I was totally tempted, just was luckky enough to get rid of the stuff before my temptation gave in I am weak as well!!
Stay the course!!

Hey Donna,
Glad to see you still among the living after having such a huge house full!! Yes, the temptations are HUGE. Do I part take? Sure, at times. A nibble here, a bite there. Nothing serious.
Now that Bob is bypassed as well, we don't feel like eating, BUT, our kids our eating us out of house and home this summer!! They are bundles of energy that need tons of food to keep fueled.
BUT, I'm stopping to buy the junk. Just a once in a while treat. They don't need it either and I don't like how they act after eating a lot of junk, especially sugar. They freaked the other day when I came home with all fruit for sweets! They said, "You didn't even buy anything for groceries that's good!" I said, "Well, I spent 173 bucks, I have had to buy something!" EAT THE FRUIT! They did, all in one stinkin' day! They are both really thin kids, too.
I'm glad you had to have some fun time with the kids. You'll be tired now that they're gone. Get some rest!
I'm glad you're back, you've been missed!

Paula, I was so much thinking of you, Heidi, Donna (the nice one) and the other moms on this board when I sent that post. I don't know how you do it. I mean even if you don't buy the junk in your house it's the fast food lunches, etc that can get you, or the movies. Oh, and just for the record, I did buy some fruit, which I will now throw out since it has gone rotten!! Yes, this was their little vacation away from what they usually eat at home, and trust me, I did not give my own two daughters the food privileges I gave my grandkids!! But that's the beauty of being a grandma, you can do those things..
I don't know what is more expensive, buying junk or buying 'good' things!! I think it's all expensive.
Thanks for the message, Paula,

LOL my 2 grandsons live with me and my daughter. They always have so much junk in the house. Sometimes I sneak something. Today I ate fried green tomatoes. I feel like smacking myself. They was so good.
I have had them twice this summer. Yummmm
No more of those. Some reason Im kinda slipping on goal. I just dont want to lose anymore weight, I feel if I eat alittle snack here and there it will be fine. But really it is not. I need to stop. I just dont want to end up sickly skinny. I am thin enough. I was 149 this morning. So I thought I would have a snack. That is what My doctor said I would have to do. If I want to stay at a certain weight.
Hugs
