Why am I hungry all the time!! I haven't lost anything in such a long time I keep yoyoing with the same 5 lbs since Feb. Now I just want to nibble nibble nibble all the time on crackers. I ate three ice cream cone sundaes on Thursday, I don't normally even drink milk but now I am craving ice cream. I feel my body is out of control and Iam confused on what I am even suppose to be eating now and what I am not suppose to eat. I can tolerate salads now but when I put chicken with it my stomach hurts. Then I gain 3 lbs from eating salads then I want to eat more foods that are not good for me. I still can't eat any pastas or breads so I am not sure why I can't lose anymore. Any help would be appreciated. Is anyone else going through this? I don't want to gain all my weight back Helppppp!!!::

hi Michelle, I think the reason you are hungry all the time is that you are having too many bad carbs. They trigger hunger. Why not go back to basics? Remember the rules. Protein first - THEN only GOOD CARBS. Nothing white, like crackers, ice cream cones. If you must have carbs. have Whole Wheat Toast, fruits and vegetables. But make sure they have nutritional value. Not empty calories. I can 't tolerate Chicken either. So I do have alot of steak and fish. And at 10 months out I still have not had any pasta. So have the salad but FIRST eat your 4 oz. of protein. Good luck. you could turn this around. Koukla

michelle, Re-read my previous post about 6mo+ maintenance diet. It'll show you how you're supposed to be eating right now. And as Koukla said, get back to basics. Throw out the bad food and start over. You can change this around! Get exercising too, up that metabolic rate by doing at least 30 min of cardio and jump start your losing again. Paula

If I were you I would be checking my habits. I have to do this occasionally to see if I am still following my rules. Here are the rules my dietician and surgeon gave me and they have worked for me so far. I am down 150 pounds already. Susan's Rules and Good Habits 1. Take small bites, use a baby spoon if necessary. 2. Chew food into a paste consistency 3. Wait three minutes between each bite. 4. Don't drink anything five minutes before eating, during eating, or thirty minutes after eating. 5. No carbonated beverages. Initially this was just for the first six months, but I still feel bad when I drink them now, so I try to stay away from them. 6. Take your vitamins and calcium supplements. 7. Eat something every two hours. 8. Make sure you meet your protein, calcium, and water goals for the day. 9. Make sure you don't go over your fat grams for the day. 10. Do at least 30-45 minutes of exercise everyday. Try changing your exercise, maybe your body has gotten used to what you normally do and you need to shock it a little bit. I hope I have helped.

I think the main problem is that you are eating too many bad carbs. If you need a whole wheat cracker or two then ALWAYS pair them with reduced fat cheese and lunch meat of some sort, even reduced fat salami. If you crave something sweet then eat a peice of fruit .. this is the time to eat those wonderful nectarines and peaches and plums. I totally got rid of all of the bad stuff a longgg time ago .. My sister was over at my house on saturday and looked in my cupboard and was like HOLY CRAP i cant see any junk food AT ALL... EXCEPT whole grain bars, south beach protein bars, and whole wheat crackers ... thats it! and most people dont consider that junk food! Try meat sticks, beef jerky or nuts for something salty. Try yogurt with some fruit or even vanilla with a squirt of sugar free syrup. GET RID OF THE JUNK .. because ALL of us here will probably reach for that first I KNOW i was 368 when i started this and today I weigh 229 - thats 139 pounds down. You also may be getting sick with some meats because you are dehydrated.. i noticed a while ago if i get nausious still its because i havent gotten in at leats 80 ounces or water, tea or crystal light that day... I think the way i have been successful is i NEVER take the whole box with m ANYWHERE .. i pull a few out and thats it... CONCENTRATE ON PROTEIN .. evn if its a shake ... my doctor is anti shakes but i buy it at costco for cheap ---when im not feeling meat which happens! if you give me your address ill mail you a big thing of vanilla protein.. like 50 servings ... its pretty good If you have questions please email me .. i know this is a confusing time!!! and im not pretending to be an expert .. i thin you need to get back to the basics!
