???
Dr. is sending me in for a renal ultrasound next week. It appears that I have had blood in my urine for all of the times it has been tested. With a particularly high number one of the months. I have had some very intense right lower back pain that wasn't related to menses. I am usually a calm person and wait for results but when she mentioned cancer my thoughts turned to Michael and I was wondering if this is something that gets aggravated with this type of surgery? I was very prone to kidney disease as a child and had my last flair up at age 12. So my potential problems may have come WLS or not.
Thanks guys for letting me vent and share. ... I am scared sh@t less.... I will let you all know how it turns out.

First try not to worry, I know it's hard but it won't change the outcome. Second my brother AND my stepson both have blood in their urine when tested. My brother has had so much it's plainly visible. He's pushing 40 now and they can't find anything "wrong". Same with my stepson! I will keep you in my prayers pumkin!

Donna,
First of all, right now, take a long, deep breath and exhale. I know this is a scary time and waiting sucks, but you WILL get through this.
Secondly, know that you have lots of friends here to get you through anything....you have lots of thoughts and prayers coming your way. I am praying that this is just a flair up and nothing serious.
Make sure you drink a lot of fluids and keep calm. Keep breathing and try to refocus on something you like to do. Keep busy until you can get your U/S done.
Hang in there and know that we're here for you. Just ask and we'll try to help in any way we can!

Well, I'm going Monday for the same thing. A renal and bladder ultrasound. Because of blood in my urine. then he's sending me to a specialize. Not fun. Not looking forward to any of this.
My mom had her kidney removed a few years ago. she had alot of blood in her urine and it turned out to be cancer of the kidney so you know where my mind is at.......
Let's hope we are both fine. that it is nothing.

Koukla,
Know that we are also thinking and praying for you...I hope this all comes out clean for you and Donna.
Do you know if kidney problems are associated with WLS? I know it can be genetic, but it seems like we hear a lot of problems with WLS patients too.
Hang in there...take deep breaths and keep busy to keep your mind off of yourself!
