Anyone else experiencing this?
I don't even know if its surgery /nutirtion related or not, but I havent been feeling the best for the last 3 days.
Sooooo tired,,and headachey,,and really weak. Creepy crawly sensation in my legs and arms. I have been having to take pain meds that were left over from surgery, or soak in a hot tub, to get releief from that. I drop off to sleep as soon as I sit or lie down. Nerves seem to be on edge too..don't want to be around anyone.
I go see my surgeon Wednesday for my 10 month checkup and to get blood work done. Im wondering if Im anemic.
Anybody have anything similar going on??
Hi Betsy, nope, I don't have that, but I am glad you're getting your blood work done.
Are you taking your iron?? I know that's a biggie. Is there anyway you can call your surgeon and get your appointment upped - thell him what's going on.
I'll be anxious to see if anyone else has these symptons, but I really wish you would call your doctor.
Keep us informed.
love

Hi Betsy,
I have not had any of those symptoms. I hope you do get some relief when talking with Surgeon and I agree with Donna: Blood work is a good thing for you right now and anemia might be it. I struggled with Iron deficiency for several months back in Jan-April due to menstral stuff and felt tired ALL the time. Let us know how things turn out. Best Wishes, jacqueline
Hi Betsy,
I've been having the tiredness and nervousness, also, but not the crawly sensations...My doc told me my blood work was all fine, just to really up my cardio and get the natural "juices" flowing and I'd feel much better. BUT, I've been so busy, I've not had time to do that.
I did change my anti-depressant and I'm not so tired as I was.
I'm glad that you're having your blood work done. You could be deficient in potassium. Rapid weight loss can cause a lack of potassium and can cause muscle twinges in the legs. Ask your surgeon about this.
Have you had your thyroid tested?
You may just be fighting a virus. Try to get your vitamins in and b12.
Are you getting in enough liquids? Especially at this time of year, we kind of forget to really "up" the fluids and can easily dehydrate. (I'm guilty of this) And, dehydration can bring on lots of symptoms too. Try really forcing the liquids. If you don't like plain water, brew some decaf tea and ice it. Crystal lite or decaf iced coffee. As long as it's decaf (caffeine dehydrates you) and liquid, it's good!
I hope you find an end to this. Rest if you can and recharge your battery!

Hi Betsy, I just had my 9 month blood work done. I have been very tired. Sleeping a lot and still not having much energy. For me it was lack of protein. I have gone back to a shake and bar a day on top of my other meals.
I have been very irritable but haven't had the sensation in arms and legs so it may be completely different. Glad to here your seeing your Dr. we could all sit here and guess, but your blood work should give you the answers.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I think I may have it figured out.
This morning I woke up with a raspy throat and severe sinus headache!! So, I think I may be fighting a sinus infection.
The creepy crawly sensations I have had before, just forgot it,,its part of the restless leg syndrome and comes from a deficiency of magnesium/calcium, so I have doubled up on that and it seems to be gone.
I thought about the protein issue too, so have pretty much switched to all protein for a few days,,and it will jump start the weight loss too. And thanks for the heads up on the fluid consumption,,I hadnt even thought about needing more since its so hot!! I have been barely making the minimum!!
Anxious to see the doc Wednesday,,and Ill let ya lall know what he says!!
have a great day!!
