Another Hospital Stay
I have been in the hospital since Friday. It actually started Thursday night about 2am when I needed to have a b.m.(sorry) and didn't do so until 6am. I started having really bad cramps in my stomach Friday morning. It was really a weird feeling. It felt like someone kicked me in the stomach over and over. So I made the long journey to Saranac Lake and spent 3 days with morphine and a lot of fluids. I had 2 Cat scans and x-rays, but they never found anything. He said if I didn't feel better Sunday he would have to do an endoscopy(spelling)well low and behold I felt much better on Sunday.I did not want to have any kind of procedure. Anyway he said it could have been the flu or maybe I have a hernia, no one knows. To make a long story short I am home, still not feeling great, but I did lose some weight out of this deal. I am now down to 157. Not really the way I wanted to do it, but I will take it for now. If anyone has had similar problems will you please let me know.
Christine
I had that last month , they said I was dehydrated and had the flu , left me hooked to an IV for awhile and then took x-rays to see if anything showed up(blockages and such).
He was aking me all these different stupid questions,,, grrr i'm not a good sick person..lol
I told the doctor look I had a 5 inch hole cut into my gut had everything rearanged and stapled and sewn back together and THAT didn't hurt THIS much.
The doctor came in all puzzled and saidYouve had blood clots? I said no I have a prevenative measure filter put in when I had the GB. He commended me for how knowlagable I was on my surgery and my body I said how can someone not be and he said youd be surprized.
Then told me the week before he had treated someone for what she thought was a ruptured ovary, and in taking her history they found she had a complete hystorectomy 6 months before that, he said it turned out to be apendix and thats why it's so important to ask ALL the questions before treating the patient no matter how impatiant they get....LOL
