100 pounds gone!!!

Hi everyone, I have lost 103 pounds since my surgery. doesn't seem like as much as I want but that is ok. I switched PCP this week and really like the new doc. He is really nice and is also local...so no having to travel a million miles with the gas prices so darn high!!!! I am able to walk further and also do things that I couldn't do even a year ago...such as gardening! My best friend will get to see her grandson who just graduated high school for the first time in 15 years this next week and he will be here through the 4th of July weekend at his dad's house. My roses (actually my friends) are blooming so pretty and i even have a rose bush starting from a stick that somehow got stuck in the ground and now is sprouting leaves!!! So maybe i do have a green thumb. I have been plucking the dead roses off and they are coming in so pretty with all the new buds! She has all the colors......my favorite is the purple.

Isn't that a joyful feeling, My life was so ovewhelmed at the time I didn't even realize I had lost 100 lbs till a few days later when someone posted about the century club. I still haven't applyed for my card either..lol When my mom passed away I took over the house and inhareted a mini rose garden, she had 5 mini rose bushes out there, 2 red.white, a purplish/pink color and the one that is my favorite looks pink then when it opend the petals gradualy go from pink to a white center. She had a beautiful garden and I just hope I can do it justice by not killing it off...lol She would take off the dead buds and new ones always seemed to reapear, last summer they seemed to blume till late in the year I took the last rose from the favorite rose to her in the hospital in November, can you believe that I think it was a fluke of nature ment just to make her smile. Hey Shel, I think that the way it is is that God knows what we need. I spend hours plucking the dead roses cause i sure love the new ones!!!! And it is neat to see one of the bushes cause right now looks like there is a pink bouquet there...so many that the leaves aren't even in the way of the roses. Holly's mini roses do the color change....but not the big ones....i got a couple extra mini rose bushes....as the birds will plant stuff too..also some blackberry bushes which i am attacking with a vengence!!!!!!!! they don't produce any fruit so i have been pulling them out of the ground and found some near the roses...so they are gonna be gone soon as I go out there again. The person supposed to do her flower beds hasn't come in a month of sundays!

I'm gonna trade blackberrys for blueberrys with a friend of mine, she has the blackberries and I love them and I have 5 blueberry bushes and although i like to grow and prune and pick them I don't eat them. Maybe next year I'll invest in some for my back yard and let them fill in on the back fence. The roses out here have about 14-16 each your right it looks like a boquet all by themself, maybe i'll get some pics of the yard and put those on the 360 thing also ,there is so much growing in the yard We have bleeding hearts also but those are done blooming for the year I guess, I thought they lasted longer though. The glads are up but no buds yet those come later in the year, the iris had bloomed and died off already too but the lillies are starting to bud and so are the dalias we have black ones this yr, the yellow one didn't make it from the Apt to hear. Hi Shel, the garden stuff is more interesting as time goes by. I have a double peony which is hard to grow in this neck of the woods cause of the heat here...and it has also had a couple baby plants...but haven't bloomed yet Anyway have to get off here cause expecting company peggy
