Scales are finally movin'! :)

Hi there, Just dropping in because I'm so excited. Got on the scales this morning and weighed 231#. That may not be alot to some of you guys, but to me, it's great. I have been so non-compliant for any number of reasons with this lifestyle, but really, after finding spark people, I am TOTALLY motivated! It's weird the things that "do" it for ya, ya know? I started there on Monday at 237.5 after fluctuating for about a month or so, but today, I got up and weighed and about fell off the scales. I think 6.5# for 4 days is pretty darn cool! FINALLY, I am being very observant about what goes into my mouth, realizing alot of foods are just a waste of precious calories. Truthfully, I was so into high protein or Adkin's way of thinking, I was inhaling alot of calories. Now, I am not denying myself fruit or veggies, etc. I've also been going to the "Y" several times lately and that is a motivator, too. Feels good and just wanted to share. I have a tendency to avoid things when I feel guilty...so you know...I've been around, but lurking. Sorry. I'm glad to see so many of you are doing so well though! My hats are off to all of you who have the strong willpower to adhere to this thing. By the way, I started in mid-August 2005 at 326, but was down to 309 at surgery. Take care, Kelly
