Hey, I just wanted to tell anyone who hasn't been to sparkpeople.com that you should check it out. Shel pointed it out and I just love it. Of course, I don't get out much!lol I have spent alot of time on there and it has a ton of information, you earn incentive points for everything you do, it has a food counter similar to fit day, it gives you suggested menus for your particular goals, work-out goals, etc. Too much to mention. Just thought you all would like to check it out. It's definately given me more motivation. I have a HUGE long-range goal...next June 2007, I will be 40 years old. I want to be at goal, in the best physical condition of my life, instead of going downhill, health-wise like my parents and brother. I really, really want to be able to run in a 5 or 10 k thingy, a half-marathon, something along those lines. Isn't that crazy? I have SUCH a hard time staying consistent in my eatting and am TERRIBLE at losing weight, but I want to run?!! I just have some dreams and goals and need to keep them in focus. Thanks to all of you who are here to support us, instead of flame. Take care, Kelly

Thanks for the information. I will check them out. Good luck on the marrathon... I just walked in the American Cancer Society Relay for life and was able to walk for 3 hours during the event at 1 hour each time. It was very elating to be able to do this. Before surgery I could only walk about 5-10 minutes without pooping out. Continued success.. Mary

Here's a website that may help you with your desire to run: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml It's the Couch To 5k program which helps people who are couch potatoes get trained for running. Too many exercise programs expect you to already BE in shape before you can even begin. This one assumes you are out of shape, and helps you get IN shape. --BT

Hello again, Hey thanks a lot for replying so quick! I'm glad some of you have found this great website! Sydney, it's awesome, isn't it? Congrats for being right there at goal. Mary, my gosh, you've already been in a run? WOW!! I can't WAIT!!! Congrats for that! And BT, i just checked out cool running. Very cool site that gives me alot of incentive, too. I can't wait to try out their hints. For instance. They say if I start say tomorrow, I will be able to run 3 miles at a time in two monthes. THAT'S cool! Thanks for the info. Kelly
