I found a dress today I fell in love with but with losing sizes so often I wasn't gonna pay $28 for it. It was black and cotton gauzy type material had colorful flowers but didn't look like a garden and i said can i try it on, knowing it would never fit yet and lemme tell ya I looked freakin awsome in it, i almost cried right in the store but not if it won't fit in 2 weeks it's not worth $28 So I hung it up and came home with a smile that didn't cost me a thing. Hugs, Shel

And wasn't that smile just a wonderful feeling? I just love it when I can get into a size but say, Ya know, in too short a time, it won't fit!! I am actually buying most of my clothes from Thrift shops where a pair of jeans can cost $3.00 not $30.00. I did spend money on nice clothes(too much money) and already can't wear most of the stuff. I knew I'd loose weight but never REALLY believed i would actually get into low sizes!! I was emailed pics of me in March with my Fat clothes still on and looked like I had a tent on!! No wonder people were screaming at me to buy clothes that fit!! But again, what a wonderful feeling. I bought a size 12 jeans the other day and when I tried them on at home realized they were already a little loose and wouldn't last more than two weeks...Back to the store with them!! Amazing is the word I keep using. I had prayed that I could eventually get into a size 9 and I am still about 15-20 lbs from goal and will likely get into an 8!! Body keeps shifting and changing so much. Keep up your great work and take care. Jacqueline

The sad thing is , it WAS at a thrift store, most everything else there was between $3 and $12 dollars,I have a whole box of cloths that fit, and some still too small,If I didn't have this stupid pani I would most likley be in size 20 jeans also. When I had the surgery I thought well okay it might work a little so if I get into a size 22/24 I'll be okay with that...lol I inhareted all my mothers cloths when she passed away and this woman shopped just to shop, she had everything from a size 4 X down to a 14/16. I gave away everything under a 24/22 cuz I just knew "I" would never get into them. They did have a cute pair of 20's down there for $6 I decided if they still had them when I got down to a 20 that would be my reward..lol Hugs, Shel

Hi Shel, wow, what a feeling, right!! I can just see you - and that lovely dress!! Don't worry, it will be there, in a smaller size, when you're ready to splurge!! I can tell you're feeling better, honey, and I'm so glad. Going shopping is a good thing!! love donna

My neighbor got me a new top since I am doing so well she thought i deserved something new and cute...hehe it's green and has stripes but i guess i'm not too fat for stripes now cuz it looked good, and a friend gave me a pair of green jeans not knowing I had the top so I have a new outfit to take a pic in, I'll post it later tonight. I walked 2 miles last night , one of my goals by the end of summer was walk to my friends on the other end of town, well yesterday I did it

Sometimes it is just the effort of trying it on and getting excited that can fully make ones day. Just think you didn't buy it because you know that shortly you will be in an 18 yahoo.... donna

I have 1 pr of 20's I wanted to be in by july 4th when it finaly sank in I was in 22's...lol but unfortunatly Mr.Pani has different Ideas for me, but it sure was nice knowing that dress was a size 20,and Mr pani had nothing to say about it, it didn't even show. My rebirthday is 2 days after my birthday so maybe i'll set the goal for those jeans for Sept 5th, I could do alot of walking between now and then,,,hehe I try them on once a week though and let me tell you the day they fit EVERYONE is gonna hear about it Shel

I have a pair of 10's that a women from work gave me. They are hanging on the door waiting for the day. I never dreamed that I would weigh less now than when I was in high school. I don't remember being a size 10 ever. As far as the good ol' stomach roll... not sure what I am going to do. At some point it just doesn't disappear with out the surgery and I am not sure if I want to go that route. That's why when I say what size I am in it really is between 12 and 14 due to the cut of the cloths. good luck with the rebirth/birthday goal. I need to firm up my goals a little more. I have my 9 month appt. coming up next week. donna

I know how you feel. I was in Walmart the other day and saw some pants marked down to $7 I took them in the fitting room size 22 and 20 . Said what the heck and tried on the 20. They fit ! debated and put them back......I need shorts not pants. Now if they get marked down again..... I just may get them. Sandy

Doesn't it kill you to want something, but know that it won't fit in a few weeks, so why bother? I was the same way in looking for shorts last week. Lane Bryant's shorts START at 29.00 a pair and go up to like 60! I said, NO WAY! I hit a sale last week at Fashion Bug where it was buy one thing and get a second for a buck, so, they ended up being only 10 bucks a pair. I got four in different colors. Size 18W! Woohooo.. Haven't been or seen that size in YEARS!!!!! And, I'm in a 14/16W top. paula
