I am like 8 pounds away from my goal weight. When I reach my goal weight how do I do to stop losing? I know that I had the surgery to lose weight but my fear now is that I don't want to get too thin.

If you talk to your surgon or nut about your eating habits and estimated loss per week/month they will help you adjust everything accordingly. From what I have seen on the main board this is also going to be a trial and error time to get things just right. I am Sooooooo no where near being at the stop losing point but just wanted to congratulate you on an awsome job. Shel

Good question I am concerned about the same thing. I had a size 8 pants fit me today. They was tight but they buttoned up on me. I am losing inches again. I am 5`8 I Notice a change in me dailly. I am back under 170. I am happy about that because I am off the water pill and potassium. I look in the miiror and see a small framed lady. I even look shorter feet have shrunk. But then again sometimes I feel so big and people tell me I am not. So This journey has been amazing. I am very happy with my results. It makes me work out harder when I see a difference. My stomach is my goal. I do not want any more surgery. I think I can do it. I have faith. If I have any surgery it will be a mini face lift when I am in my 50s. I am 48 going on 30. Feel like Im 20 I feel great !!!! Barb

I am currently under my goal weight- but still within the healthy range for sure.... I havent changed they way I eat much at all.. although I do have treats now and again.. but the weight has just naturally slowed down..I've only lost a few pounds over the last couple of months.. Our bodies know what is the right weight for us. Mandy sept 20 2005 249/145goal/139current

Talk to your nutritionist about adjusting your diet to balance your intake & output. If dietary adjustments are not enough, then you may need to take pancreatic enzymes to assist in the slow-down. But that's something for you & your surgeon to determine if/when you end up significantly below goal. --BT
