http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/09-2005/postdetail/1054.html?vc=0 In August of last year, a bunch of us posted things that we would love to happen after surgery......... About half of mine are now a reality.......I can walk long distances without needing a rest, although I don't yet have the lover & dog to go with it. My arm doesn't fall asleep anymore when I'm sleeping, and I now actually sleep all the way through the night. I've gone through the "will she/won't she" phase of wondering if I'll fit in a booth, and am now definitely in the "she will" category. I don't have to use the handicapped stall anymore, and still have plenty of room to....well, y'know. My birthday is coming up in a few weeks, so.......I think it's time for a shopping trip to Victoria's Secret to see if they have anything in my size. What about you? --BT

Hey BT, I've have some of my dreams come true. I can walk up the stairs with or w/o laundry and not be winded... My seatbelt doesn't automatically "lock" when I lean one inch forward! I have about 20 inches now. I can also fit into a booth. I can walk faster and futher distances and have it actually feel "great!" I also sleep sounder and all through the night. My hands don't fall asleep as much. I too can use a "regular" stall in a public bathroom. I've not bought new bras yet, but hubby said the other day (as I was trying on a new sweater) that I need something to "lift" up my boobs! I was also thinking last night to visit Vicki Secrets to see if they would measure me and see if they sell in my new size. Maybe not yet, I'm not sure. My shoe size has also gone down. Most of all, I'm off three meds and have lower cholesterol, no GERD and feel good. Asthma meds will be tried next. Psych meds are still a stay, though. Don't think the panic attacks will ever go away. That's inbred. Thanks for a good post! paula

Funny how some of these things you don't realize are even weight related until they go away - like your hands falling asleep, or being able to sleep through the night. That's great to hear about all of your realized dreams. What are you hoping for next? What are your life goals & what do you hope to be able to do maybe six months to a year down the road that you haven't done before? --BT

Hey BT good post!! I wanted to be able to walk my daughter to the park and not be afraid to get her home because there is a very steep hill on the way back. I wanted to be able to shop in "normal"stores and not have people look at me like "Lane Bryant is two doors down". And I did go to Vicoria's Secret and actually bought a bra that fit me. I wanted my husband to tell me that I am sexxy and really mean it. I wanted my children to be proud to say that I am their mom, instead of the kids picking on them for me being fat. Sydnee is always telling me how her friends and their mom's say how skinny I am. For the very first time in a long time I am proud of what I have accomplished. I have worked really hard to get to the weight that I am -and noone can take that away from me. Christine

"For the very first time in a long time I am proud of what I have accomplished. " That right there is the best dream to come true......being able to be comfortable & proud of yourself, and what you have done. Your glasses are cute - I like that style on you. So where do you want to go from here? What would you like to be able to do now that you've never been able to do before? --BT

My biggest thing was getting rid of my diabetes and that happened right after surgery, but now I am a size 12 (tight) hehe but I can fit them!! Just being able to run and jump and be silly its what makes it worth it. Being able to bend over in my garden and not feel like I look like that statue of the big butt bent over in the garden that people stick in their yards lol
