Really slipping. Help me please.
i was so glad to see this post, not because you are having a tough time,,but because it let me know I am not alone!!
I havent lost much at all in the last 2 months,,about 3-4 pounds per month and thats sooo slow! I ve lost 105 pounds since my surgery, but it seems the loss has almost stopped. i was worried I was at the end of the trail,
I too have been eating popcorn and chips,,but usually I eat oatmeal for breakfast, (til the past couple of weeks when it doesnt sit well anymore), lunch is some cheese or cottage cheese, or maybe a half grilled cheese,,peanut butter, or a shake. So many foods dont sit well with me that I hardly ever sit down to eat, I just grab something cause i think,,why bother?? Fruit and salad make me sick, except bananas, so Im really frustrated.
I think I will do as someone suggested, and go back to the basics.
I still have not regretted the surgery for a minute,,and most people think I am at or near goal (at 217 lbs???), so I shouldnt be complaining. Its just, like others,,I want to go all the way!!
Thanks for posting,,and letting us all see,,we are all normal!!
yep me to.I see that we are all struggling or at least most of us.I am getting to the point that I get so hungry and just grab something and it not being the greatest thing is just like how I gained all the weight to begin with but I have to get a hold of myself this time and not let it get out of hand like it did in the past.I had my surgery on 9/14/05 weighed 275 and have lost 85 lbs but have not lost anything since 4/27/06 and I will weigh and be like 190 one day and 192 the next so it's goes up and down within 2 lbs.I am going to go back to the basic's like some have said and see if that help's.
I really live on the basics. I live on yogart fresh fruit bannas oatmeal cheese and sandwich meat ,soup.. I lost 10 pounds this month. Sometimes I eat meat for supper with a vegatable. When I get hungry I grab for one of those. I also eat beef jerky. Plus I do get my excercise in. But I dont know if I am losing my weight because I am going thru alot right now.
Take Care

I was so HAPPY to see this post. This is me to the T. Maybe I am a little worse. I am only down 60 lbs in 8 months. I started out at 218. I feel like a gastric bypass failure. My main problem is I get up and eat at night. This was my problem before my surgery. Granted it is no where as bad as it was before but I don't want my old habits back. I have never been a big sweet person but lately I have craved nothing but chocolate and peanut butter and have been eating it. I'm gonna up my protein intake and see if that helps. I only have 30 more lbs to reach my goal weight and wonder if I will even make it.
