Marianne! Congrats! How awsome is that? "Normal" in 11 months when in the past if you were anything like me 11 months would mean maybe losing 20 lbs and gaining another 30. I still feel this entire wl process is very bizarre. But, at the same time, I am very grateful for the process. I would love to know what your weight loss has been. Where you started and where you have ended up. How are your eating habits 11 months in? What about activity? Take Care, Joy 296/167/?

Today I had my WL checkup at the surgeons office. I was told that I do not need to lose anymore weight! I told my WL PA that I would still like to lose about 10 lbs. She said if I am determined to still lose 10 pounds to make sure it is no more than 10! Wow, I can't believe I reached the Dr.'s goal in only 11 months. I told her that when I look in the mirror I still see my old fat self. She said that this is perfectly normal for the first couple of years. So, in closing I am proud to say that I am finally, 'NORMAL". Have not been in this classification since HS & College. Hugs Marianne

Sweet Leslie, Insurance or not, you MUST seek medical attention for this. We cannot afford to "fool around" when something is not "right", and being continuously nauseated is Definitely not right!! You could have developed an ulcer or a hernia. PLEASE,PLEASE seek medical attention somewhere, somehow. It could be VERY serious!!! Let us know what you hear. Pam

I have yogurt and sometimes a piece of fruit for breakfast if I am in a hurry. I also like "Laughing Cow" lowfat swiss cheese. It is very creamy, like cream cheese, but is high protein and low fat. We buy it in the deli-section of the grocery store here. I think that it is pretty important for you to eat or "drink" some kind of breakfast, because that tends to "kick-start" your metabolism for the day. I thought that the protein shakes or SlimFast was a good idea. Best wishes, and do NOT get discouraged!!! Pam

Hi Cherilyn, I too am right about where you are... I am down 92 lbs and would like to hit the 100 pound mark next month.... Not sure if I can make it but I am trying... I eat a hard bread/cracker called Wasa Crisp... You should be able to find it in the cracker isle. I have that with a little Smart Balance, thin slice of Havarti cheese and ham every day. (I am Swedish and that is kind of a traditional breakfast) I have this for a snack or lunch sometimes too. Someone mentioned egg beaters... I used to eat a lot of egg beaters early on so I have not been back to that yet... Hope this helps, Karen E
