I had this idea during the night and had to post. I was wondering if any of you have any pet peeves that are WL related, and if so would you like to share? Here is mine! I HATE when you get that sudden attack of the runs and all of you know that WE MUST RUN to the nearest bathroom how when you get there and it is a public restroom that does not have seat covers, we need to stand there and pull the toilet paper out just to be able to cover the seat before we sit. Another PET PEEVE I have is: Now, as I am self conscience about the new internal odor that has developed since WLS, when you finally get that toilet paper down on the seat and you can FINALLY sit in what you hope is peace, someone has to walk into the bathroom and now you feel the need to try your darndest NOT to make too much noise in the way of bodily noises as well as that unpleasant aroma and find yourself flushing a million courtesy flushes. Then I just hope I can get up and out of the bathroom before anyone sees me and can pin the aroma evidence on me. If you have a pet peeve list it so we can all get a chuckle out of them. At this point I am thinking I will NOT be covered for anything other than the hernia... there is a slight chance that the panni may be covered, but I really am not counting on it. I can't beleive a week from today I will be waiting for morning to go to the hospital!!!! Karen

Hi Just wanted to check in to say that I hope all is going well for everyone so far. Remember to stay focused and not to lead into temptation. I have been doing pretty well so far. Been to busy these past two days to even think of eating. Bombarded in paperwork like you would not believe. Just took short breaks to have a cup of chile for lunch, and a protein dinner. Of course I did drink my liquid protein, water and took all my vitamins. Almost ready for bed and then to wake up and begin another new day. Talk to you all soon! Hugs Marianne

Marianne - Just wondering about the beans and fruit . . . of course every doctor sends their patients home with different food programs and we should all follow our own doctor's instructions but just a thought - my doctors instructions were 70 grams of protein and 30 carbs a day until goal and no bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, beans and fruit. It's a strict plan but it works! That's what I'm continuing to do. I've lost 130 pounds and aiming for 10 more before my PS on 11/22. Good luck! XO, Sandy
