Take a picture of yourself and see what you think of yourself. If you're thin enough, then stop. And congrats on what you've accomplished!! Jan

Go back to basics like was suggested. Also, have you been drinking soda?? That won't help you! Stop now, if you have!!! Do NOT drink after you eat or before you eat or when you eat. If you do you will be able to eat much more! You might want to look at the book entitled "Success Habits For WLS Patients" by Colleen M. Cook. Her website is BariatricSupportCenter.com and the book is very basic, but in your case will remind you what you're supposed to be doing! I also just read it and it helped me also!! Jan

This could easily be "yet another" plateau, or it could be the place where you body is most comfortable. Are you at your goal? I would not be too concerned about not losing any this month. I've heard people say that went as long as 6 months without losing and then BAM!! They lost another 20 lbs. or so. I understand about not ever "maintaining" a weight before. ALL of my life, I was either going up or down, mostly up!!! I do believe that we can do this though! We just MUST keep in mind that it is a "forever" thing and that we will ALWAYS have to "watch" what we eat. It's very scary for me, too, but let's just keep on keeping on. Hugs, Pam

Do NOT compare youfself to others!! That is the only "downside" to this web site. We have a tendency to compare ourselves with everyone and get discouraged if we are not doing "the best". This is NOT a competition. We all did this to lose weight and we have ALL lost a substantial amount of weight. No matter what other people are doing, going from a size 22 to a 14 is CERTAINLY something to celebrate!! Each of us is TOTALLY different (by God's Design, btw) and we all lose at different rates. Just keep doing what your doctors tell you to and you WILL continue to lose down to your goal. If you are NOT doing what the doctor said, try to get fresh start by going back to the beginning and "starting over". Where would you be this time this year if you had NOT had the surgery? You are doing GREAT. Encourage yourself!!!

It is NEVER too late until you are dead!!! I liked the idea of the all-liquid diet for one week. That should help you get started again. Do you still have your paperwork/menu guide from your surgery? Go back to that and "start over". That will tell you what "on track" is. I had my surgery one day before yours and I've lost 125 lbs. and am still losing. It is SLOW, but I am still losing. I've got 25 more lbs. to lose. If you can, go see your dietician. They can REALLY help you. Do NOT give up. You have come tooooooo far to go back now!! Hugs, Pam

Scott, Congratulation!! I would not worry about the numbers as long as you feel all right and have good nutrition habits. Keep up the protein and Vitamine. Your body will stop when it's ready . It could also go up a little. Try to enjoy this miracle and live life to the fullest. Hugs Dolores

Hi, I'm not losing as of this month. Exercising like crazy and also eating almost normal amounts. It makes me crazy to even think I could gain weight.I have never beeen a stable weight and it's hard to image that it is possible. I must have your support to keep reminding myself that this is a life time journey. Hugs to all Dolores

I think your hair looks great. I've had long hair for the longest time. After having the surgery my hair started falling out. It got horribly bad and I looked extremely bald. I finally broke down about 5 or 6 months ago and asked my mom's hairdresser to give me a shorter hair cut. She took a lot off. I was nervous at first but the way she cut it made the balding on the top go away. Because my bangs were so long it weighed my hair down exposing the baldness. By cutting it she gave the bangs bounce which are naturally curly to begin with. I didn't look so bald anymore. Recently I even added highlights. I have never dyed my hair so it was a huge step for me. I bet your husband loved it. Keep up the great work... Shannon
