What time of day do you prefer to weigh yourself?
Mine is first thing in the AM after my morning pee and bm.

Hey!
Congrats on the pregnancy! What a blessing.
I definitely hear you about putting on weight with pregnancy. That's my biggest fear about pregnancy, but you know what they say--you have to make your "tool" work for you.
I'll put you in my prayers. Let us know when the new addition gets here!!
Is it a girl or a boy? Do you have a name picked out?
Take Care, KT

Hi all,
I just thought I would stop by for a visit and see how everyone is doing. I have been on obesityhelp, but mainly the post-op pregnancy board. Yuppers...at 10 months out, I found out I was expecting my 6th child! What a shock as I was on all sorts of fertility treatments for all my other children. None the less, we are all very excited to have another baby in the house. I am due in 4 short weeks. It was very scary because I was watching my weight creep up (I have gained 22 lbs.). I experienced hypogylcemic episodes for the last 2 trimesters, so the docs had me eating 35 grams of carbs every 2 hours! I cried and cried thinking I would blow up. But all seems to have turned out well. I am very afraid that I will fall back into the grazing mode after the baby is born, so I expect to be turning to all of you again for support, if you'll have me back!
Sorry this post is so long...it's nice to see some familiar faces!

Topic: RE: Still losing?
Hi Scott...I don't post often, but I am glad to read this. I wish I knew what "normal" is. I think after being SO big for so long, I have a very distorted body image. I currently weigh 142 and have a BMI of about 22. I know in my head that this is completely "normal" and I too, have been told that I need to stop losing weight. I just don't see what others seem to. I am not really losing a lot of weight, but I do seem to drop a few lbs here and there. I think that my biggest problem is that I have never been able to maintain any sort of weight loss - I have either been gaining or losing. I am terrified. My pictures went up on the before and after page, and I have gotten wonderful supportive emails from many folks, but I just wish *I could feel what others seem to see. I'll be reading through the rest of this thread because I am very curious to see what others have to say. Good luck to everyone!

Hi Patty,
I just passed 17 months myself. I've been checking into plastic surgeons also. Up here, they want you to be within 20 lbs of your goal. If they were to do ps and you lose more, you wouldn't be as tight as you'd like. I'm 40 lbs from my goal so only 20 lb to go. Hubby took some sexy pics over the weekend and I looked at them and thought 'YUK! All that skin!!' and then I couldn't help but think 'well...at least it isn't full of fat anymore'. I have my surgeon picked out...which, I did alot of the research here on OH. I sent them a few emails and they sent me several brochures. I feel very confident in who I chose. So...guess that would be my first suggestion. Research, and email a few different ps (I emailed 5) and make your decision from that.
Good luck...and don't be a stranger!
