This is a relief...I was able to "go" today so I will be sure to get back on the scale tomorrow morning and see if I am "lighter"

Hello all 6 monthers! 1st time poster here. Down 72 pounds since 9/1/04.
I finally tried sugar a couple of weeks ago, only to find that it doesn't cause dumping for me. Now that I know I can eat sweets I'm afraid I will want them too often. I now eat a couple of handfuls of popcorn at the movies - it doesn't take much to fill me. And, I've become addicted to Starbucks suger-free hazelnut lattes!
As far as foods go, chicken is the easiest meat for me to handle. Beef still doesn't taste right. I have a hard time with eating small enough bites, and eating too quickly. Both of those things cause vomiting - I'm trying really hard to stop this cycle, but old habits are so hard to break!

Hey David! Congrats on your tremendous weight loss!! I am also 6 months out and down 80 lbs. I tried to click on your band's link to see the New You , but it didn't work. I went directly to your band's website, but couldn't find a pic of the band, only pics of the audience, LOL.

Topic: Aloha
Hi fellow 6 mounthers!!!!!
I have moved from Heidelberg, Germany to Honolulu, Hawaii- so I haven't been on line for awhile- on my way here I stopped and spent time with my family- they were all surprised and pleased with my weight loss.... My granddaughters kept telling me my head looks bigger- my daughter things its because I now have a neck it is sitting up on!!!!
I got my scales in my unaccompanied baggage on Tues and was pleased that I hadn't gained or stayed the same but had lost and now I am down 106 pounds...... Was hard during my travels because everyones scales are different and I obviously couldn't bring mine on the airplanes (in this day and age of security heaven knows what they would of thought they were!!!!)
Need to update my picture- will look into that.
Sounds like everyone is doing well- just wanted to pop in and say Aloha--- Victoria

Can being constipated cause a 2-3 lb increase in weight between yesterday and today?

Sandy,
Today is my 6 month NEW birthday! Yeah! I'm minus 101 lbs. I had heard that Jarred of Subway Fame walks 1.5 miles a day so that was my goal for awhile. Recently, I upped that to 4 miles a day. I wear a pedometer during the day and whatever I need to make it to 4 miles, I do on the treadmill in the evenings...usually ~2 more miles or so. I have been doing this every day and hope that I can keep it up. I want to make it to 5 miles/day and then work on decreasing the time it takes (right now, I do 20-24 min miles).

Another reason to get an MP3 player over a cd player is DISCS SKIP when you are moving. MP3 players are on a hard drive and there is no skipping. I have a MiniDisc player (that I loved) and I just won an iPod Mini last week. I have to tell you that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the iPod mini. It comes with speakers, belt clip it is tiny and I have over 800 songs on it in high quality. I have playlists so I can listen to a rock mix one day and an R & B mix the next, etc. I almost feel bad saying I like the iPod Mini better because... AHEM... I work for Sony and only had Sony stuff and swore by them. Sony does have some hard drive MP3 players out now but I hadn't bought one yet and don't see the point now that I WON (YEAH!!!) and iPod Mini. I listen to it at work while I am programming and I DO get called "traitor" by coworkers. Oh well.
By the way... I tested the iPod Mini on the Elliptical Trainer tonight. No skipping for 20 minutes! (I couldn't go any longer this time... too tired). The elliptical trainer is fun when I am listening to Chaka Khan and old disco!

Interesting! We don't have a weight line..what's the purpose of that? Silly people who ever came up with that idea. But congratulations on your WL
