k so i have lost 10 dress sizes and 6 finger sizes in 6 months. SUPERMAN surprized me yesterday. My wedding rings were covered in those plastic ring sizer things... had 4 of those on one band.. well anyway he came home at lunch and was waitin by the door and i was like what are you doing??? and he said nothing i so i went back to makin lunch well the door bell rang and he ran for it i was like if he starts barkin like the dog we have problems well anyway he ran to the bathroom and i was like alrighty then... he comes back out and he said let me see ur hand i said why and he said i want ur rings and i said WHAT... ya see we have a agreement that if we ever decide to leave each other that person has to take the other persons rings off... and i started cryin i said what did i do??? and he said nothing ... i looked down and he put a brand new weddin set on my hands and said you deserve this... and i love you... ladies i will have to take a pic of my hand bc i about dropped dead the wedding set he got me was 2.80 carat diamond ... its funny how he sized the new ones... i was takin a shower one night and he took them and traced them on paper with the ring sizers on it then took it to a jewelry store and said i need this size... the guy at the counter just looked at him weird like and said k... This is why i call him SUPERMAN.... bc to me he is.... manda

Susan, I have osteoarthritis and I take Plaquenil. It is used for RA but my doctor had me try it and it really helps. I take 2 per day. Also I take Ultram as needed for pain. I haven't needed Ultram in a long time. When the pain is bad, I take 1 Ultram every 12 hours. Ultram works better when you take it continuously, not as needed. Good luck! Sandy! You might want to check with your doctor about when you are taking your vitamins. I've been told not to take the multivitamin and calcium together. There can be a "binding" that happens and decreases absorption. Let us know what your labwork looks like! Maybe it's a bunch of hoopla! Beth -98

Hi Sherry - My surgeon has a strict pre- and post-op program but I can't complain because he is very cautious and conservative AND most importantly the surgery went off without a hitch and I'm thrilled with my weight loss. Since surgery I have been on a daily program of 70 grams of protein and 30 grams of carbs. I eat no bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, beans or fruit. Of course I have my little slip ups here and there, but maybe only once a week or so. I also take the following vitamins: in the am: multivitamin, 2 Citracals, 1 Vitron with extra C; midday: multivitamin, 2 Citracals, B complex; night: multivitamin, 2 Citracals, acid reducer, 2 biotins. When I go for my 6-month appointment on Tuesday I'm going to ask about potassium because I have been getting leg cramps. When I reach my goal I'm for sure going back to my nutritionist for guidance. I'm so into the weight loss mode I think it will be a confusing and difficult transition into the maintenance mode. Hope this helps! I'm also interested to know what others are eating/not eating and what vitamins you all are taking? Hugs, Sandy (P.S. Also exercising five-six times a week!) 268/175/136 (5'2")

Hey Dave, I checked out your band page the other day! I loved your play list, it made me want to have a party and fly you guys out to L.A.!! Oh well, maybe when one of my daughters gets married... that's a few years down the line though!! Oh yes, and coincidentally, I saw this guy posting on the California board that also plays in a cover band. I saw many of the same songs on both of your playlists. He's having surgery over spring break, i believe. You should check out his page, the link to his band's website is at the bottom of his page under interests. He doesn't know me, I just have seen him post on the Cali board and saw that you guys have the music thing in common. Here's a link to his page. http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/profile.phtml?N=D1103317512 Well, keep up the good work with your weight loss and and health and music, see ya again on the board! ~Sue

Topic: How many carbs??
Hi All, I was just wondering how many carbs you all are eating each day. I am really concerned that I am getting in too many (I do like my pretzels ). Thanks for your help! ~Sherry~

Honestly... 1) I eat lots more fruits and veggies than I did before wls 2) Meat of any type can be hard for me to eat at times. If it is tender and moist, I can eat a few bites. 3) Cheating.... I did eat a Minibag of popcorn twice. 4) NOTHING! I still dont eat sugar, pasta, bread or sweets. NOR DO I DRINK SODA or JUICE at all. I DO need to drink more water! I dumped for the first time in 4 months last month on eating TOO BIG bites of meat. I dont want to start eating junk again as I dont know if I can LIMIT my quantities. Leslie Lee -114 312/198/170?
