Topic: RE: Aloha
Hi Victoria!! Aloha to you, too!! I have to say that I am somewhat envious!!!
I have been "dreading" the "big-head" look. I got that 10 years ago when I was going to Weigh****chers and lost 108 lbs. I never knew what caused it, but I have noticed that it "happens" to a lot of "losers". Maybe it is the "skinny neck" that we are not used to. Also, no double (triple, etc) *****ongratulations on losing while traveling. That is quite a feat!! Welcome back and soak up some sun for us!!! Hugs, Pam

Tina, I am almost exactly on your pace. I will be 6 months out next week and am down about 70. So you are not alone!

Topic: RE: poll - food
(1) what are you eating now that you couldn't before?
I found some gluten-free pasta, so I have that about once a week.
(2) what are you having a hard time with?
Eggs!! I love eggs and 2 times out of 3 they just sit like a "brick" in my pouch!!
(3) "cheated" or experimented with something?
I have tried sugar and it does NOT make me dump! I had a "small" piece of cheesecake Friday night. I did not feel real great after, so I probably won't try that again soon, but I do want sugar a LOT!!
(4) what would you like to change about your eating habits?
The only thing I would like to change is not to eat sugar at all, but I really don't see that happening!! I will just have to try and control it. So far, so good!!!

Keep up your good work.

This month the weight loss was the slowest its ever been yet. I only lost 5 lbs. I was a little disappointed because I was hopeing for atleast 10 lbs but I will take what I can get. I am excited to have 80 lbs. off though !!!!! Only 23 lbs. more to go !!!!!

Topic: RE: The Great Exercise Challenge-Let's BOOGIE boys and girls!
OK, I did excellent last week. I exercised 5 days doing step aerobics for 35 minutes minimum. Walked a couple of days on top of that during breaks for 15 minutes each. On Saturday and Sunday, I walked for almost 4 hours. It was a great week.
However, just like the past 3 weeks, I haven't lost anything. I'm not sure exactly why, but I have seriously hit my first plateu. How long do these things normally last? I feel that I am too close to goal to lose it now...
For the past 3 weeks I have increased water and protein, decreased carbs and begun exercising 35+ minutes a day. I am averaging 800-1000 calories per day and am trying to stick to low-fat. What in the world is going on???? I just don't get it. How can someone's body expend more than consume yet remain the same weight? I'm not getting it......
Thank you for letting me vent,
Trudi

Topic: How is goal weight determined?
I know this may be a crazy question, but how do you determine your "goal" weight? When I talked to my doctor, he always gives me a range of my healthy weight. It's like 147-165 (or something similar to that) based of my height and frame I'm guessing. Now, out of that, what is my goal weight? How have you determined your goal weight?
Thank you!!! Trudi
