Topic: RE: QUESTIONS for 6 month checkup tomorrow morning...
Hi Susan! I went for my 6-month check up on Tuesday and here are the questions I asked: (1) Is it OK to take my multivitamin with my calcium? (Answer: Not recommended, try to space it out if possible.) (2) Do I need a potassium supplement? (Answer: All my labs looked great and I don't need a supplement, [but I am still a little concerned].) (3) How long should I continue to stick with 70 grams of protein and 30 carbs a day? (Answer: Until I reach my goal.) (4) When can I add fruit to my diet? (Answer: I can have 1 fruit a week if desired, until I reach my goal. Fruit is very high carb. (5) When should I plan for hernia repair and plastic surgery? (Answer: Sooner rather than later. Hernia is bad and exercise is aggravating it. I can try and wait for September. I need to get a medical girdle to support the hernia.) (6) How many calories a day should I be consuming right now? (Answer: 800 max.) (7) How much more weight would Dr. Greene like to see me lose? (Answer: approx. 40 before tummy tuck and hernia repair.) Hope this helps! Hugs, Sandy 268/175/136

Topic: RE: Hernia's??? Do i have one???
Manda, Yep, It's a hernia. I had my surgery 9/20 and I have my hernia surgery on 4/5. My gastric bypass doc wanted my to wait till I lost all my weight before I got it fixed, but it is huge! It is bigger than a cantaloupe and I actually look like I'm expecting from the belly button up! My hernia doc said that the entire incision opened. I won' t be able to weight train for 6 weeks following the surgery, but I won't be in pain any more either. I would take 6 hernias if I had to do it all again. Good luck to you! Trish

Yes it has its ruff moments when I miss mcdonalds and when I feel dissappointed in myself for eating the wrong things or to much but I wouldnt trade if for anything in the world! Everyone give yourselves a pat on the back...we've come a long way baby!! Hugs, Rebecca 238/157/138

1.My numbers are 258 2. My goal weight is 155 3. I have lost 80 pounds 4. I want to lose 103 pounds 5. I now weigh 178 I am so greatful of the weight that I have lost. I no now that the honeymoon stage will leave, and it will all be up to me and how much I exercise as well as my eating habits. I realize that I don't have as much to lose as some other peoplem, and I give them a lot of credit for their strength and commitment. I now the next twenty three pounds are going to be tough and a lot slower than before, but I am prepared. Good Luck to everyone else and don't give up it will happen! Thanks for all your support, Tammy Simmons [email protected]

Sounds like things are pretty great. Your weight loss is going good and 50 pounds is totally doable, as is 75. Your on the right track and will be your goal before you know it. Best of luck with the next 6 months.... Shannon
