Topic: RE: Hernia's??? Do i have one???
Hey Manda.. I am 4 weeks out of hernia surgery.. I had a huge one.. My doc called it a periabdominal herina... Hope I spelled that right.. It was around my belly button, not in it.. He had to make an incision the whole length of my gastic bypass scar.... It hurt the first few days after surgery but I'm up and going once again.. If it's a hernia and it sounds as though it is cause I felt the same then please take care of as soon as possible, hon so you can be back on your way to recovery... -Shannon

OOOOOHHHH my God!! I just posted somewhere that I was feeling like I was losing my mind and thought it was neuropathy - and was also munching - just cheerios/cashews just before dinner - but I feeling I was stuffing myself - and the worse was the feeling of losing control. I concur with Pam about the therapist - Im only 3 days from my 6th month - and I had been doing soo well...and even though i've maintained my eating quite a bit i am/was slacking a bit on the exercise and not losing anything - and felt like i was losing control of my sanity though. I'm glad I'm not alone!! I can't believe this is happening..Crossing my fingers we can get past this!!!

. . . and it's name is SPANDEX! God bless the person that invented this material! I went shorts shopping today cuz even though it still feels like winter here, my daughter (8) and I are going to Camp Grandma in West Palm Beach, Florida (my mom!) for spring break. I got 3 pairs of "bike" type shorts, down to my knees, very athletic looking and they hold EVERYTHING in, unbelievable! Now if only I can find a swimsuit made out of this stuff that goes from my neck to my ankles, LOL! Hugs, Sandy

Tema, Pam and Joan - Thank you for the support and encouraging words, I needed it! And I do feel better tonight. I had a good day today and kept things under control. This board is the best! And Joan, your advice about avoiding the sugar is so on target. I don't know why I didn't think of that myself. It definitely causes cravings. Pam, I hope you're reading this too, no more M&M's for us, DEAL? Thanks again, Hugs, Sandy

Suggestion: Stay away from real sugar. Only eat products that have Splenda. Real sugar makes ayou crave carbs.
