Hi guys I hope you all had a great weekend. So how are you all doing? You know me... full of questions! Weight loss this week- Weight Loss overall- Favorite helpful food of the week- Exercise goals for the coming week- (make a commitment you can keep, no matter how small you start, it really does make a difference) Concerns? Wow moments!? My answers... Weight loss this week- 2lbs Weight loss overall- 75 lbs since surgery, 84 from highest weight. Favorite helpful food this week- Quaker Lower Sugar Apple Cinnamon oatmeal!!! I love this it is satisfying for hours. I make it with half water and half skim milk or carb countdown milk. Exercise goals for the week- Last week I worked out 5 days at the gym! I want to do that again this week. Usually, I'm more like 2-3 days. Plus I am upping my time and the resistance on the eliptical. So my goal for this week would be to work out 5 out of 7 days again and keep challenging myself. Concerns-My calories are pretty dang high I try to keep them lower but have a lot of difficulty with this. Also, I have been experiencing some dizziness lately and consiousness of my heart beating. I'm going to my surgeon for a check-up today, we'll see what he says. WOW moments! I have two! First, I checked my fasting blood sugar for the first time in a long time this morning, and I was 97! NORMAL! YAY! I used to be 279 fasting!!! and in the high 300's after eating. The other wow moment was when my skinny friend told me I was "tiny" and that I'm just a "peanut" I just loved the peanut comment!!!! Take care everyone! De-lurk and let us know how you're doing! ~Sue

My name is Gabriella. I rarely eat a banana for dinner either. Tonight I had a Lean Quisine. For lunch I went to a bbq and had some skirt steak and veggies. Loooove skirt steak, especially on the grill. I dont have a problem eating large portions, I have a problem with late night snacking. I can get on my SO sisters family plan at Xtreme Fitness for 23 bucks a month, but I've never been one to excersize in front of anyone...I dont dance either, dont like people looking at me. When you grow up fat with flaming red hair, EVERYONE looks at you, and usually has something not-so-nice to say. I really do need to go though, I want to buy a home gym, but Im afraid that I'll get tired of it like the rest of the machines I've bought in the past. I'll figure soemthing out. I live near Midway, not too far from Oak Park. And I wear a size 10 in Old Navy jeans, not sure about any other brand. I would assume they they have the vanity sizing too....but I wont tell if you wont. You keep up the good work, be proud of what you continue to accomplish!

I don't know what to call you Miss Anonymous! Give us a nickname or something! Thanks for giving me some ideas of what you eat. It sounds like we are pretty similar in our eating habits. Although I rarely will have JUST a banana for dinner. I snack also, but generally it is all pretty good choices. I'm working out and starting to really get into it, which I never would have believed a few months ago. I really do recommend a gym if there's any way you can swing it. Get some of your music (saw that you are a metal fan, great to work out to!) on an mp3 player and get on the treadmill or eliptical machine and the time will fly by. You will feel so good. Then you can expand from there and try some of the circuit machines, etc. BTW I used to live near Chicago too. I was born in Oak Park and lived up to age 11 in Addison. AND as far as looking like your sister... I USED to have a space between my teeth! I got braces when I was 17 and now the space is gone. Well keep up your good work, you really look wonderful and a size 10 is AWESOME! I am a size 10 in Gap jeans, but I just found out they have "vanity sizing" and their 10 is actually not equivalent to other brands 10s... I'm guessing I'm probably a 12 right now. I'm small in the shoulders, still got a belly and jiggly inner thighs, big time. ~Sue

It's good to know that I am not alone! That is what I love about this place. My feelings are always verified!!!! Oh well! I do plan to lose more! Maybe I should just try saying "Whatever!" PS-The pic on my message is from November. I have my new pics on my profile. Can't wait for my message pic to be updated!

Thanks for the post Carol. I am hearing the same comments myself. When I tell people I had surgery they can't beleive I was big enough to have met the criteria. I was borderline but, I passed the test. I am only 5'2" and started out at 221. I am now 147. I figure I have 15-20 lbs to go. I really think I will be more than happy at 130. People just don't understand us, I guess. Oh well, we only have ourselves to make happy, not others. Teri

I've had the same thing happen. Some of the people are skinny mini's and others are average folks. They say, "Are you done now?" or "You don't want to lose more do you? You're so skinny now." Oh yeah right. BMI of 32. If I'm skinny, they are anorexic! I'm 5'3" and my goal is 130 - 140 pounds. That's not thin, it's considered "healthy to slightly overweight". I was 140 in highschool and I never saw "slightly overweight" when I looked at myself, but fine - I can deal with that.

yeah. exactly. I see a picture and my butt is huge. It big, but not THAT big! I look in the mirror and see a lot of change. I take a picture.. and save my bald head, I'm still fat. It's frustrating to feel sexier and want to see that in a photo.. and not.
