as i read some postings
seems this grazing is happening to alot of us...i am going to a support meeting tonight and getting back on track, not that i have gained but i have not lost...been stuck for some time like 4 months...162-166 same pounds back and forth..i am gonna start a journel make myself accountable...I fought to long and to hard to re gain my weight...now granted when i graze it is not anything like i would have before surgery, they are good choices most of the time..but as i said most of the time...i will have a cookie, or fruit...one day i had 3 bananas...
we are human, and 16 months is not much time to change 50 years of habits...i do enjoy those little bags of pop corn 100 calories...along with nuts, animal crackers...fruit, cheese...mostly good choices, which is maybe why i have no gained...i do not do coke or any sodas at all...i do next to no bread....
another thing i have slacked up on is exercise...i take my meds very well, 2 times a day i make sure i get those in...
so should we step back and see what we ate before surgery vs now...
thats sure a good thing...
so what am i gonna do? I plan to start writing down what i ate,. and how much i exercise...and i am gonna challenge any of you to join me...
we all want to stay loosers...we certainly did not have this surgery to gain it back...and who better than us who are the same out to do this with...i am going to measure everything...going back to how it was to begin with...any ideas

I believe you have the correct idea but I'm trying to be a little more livable with the guild lines.Water, exercise, no liquiods with meals ,protein first. Good choices of snacks. If I do not gain that's my goal at this time.I sometimes think you can sit your self up for failure if you make to many rules unless it's become a gaining weight episode then yes save you life with diaries etc. Hugs and best wishes to you. Please keep us posted as we need each other. Dolores
hey! i am going through the same things here. I am doing like delores and getting back to basics. I am doing a protein shake for bfast and then healthy meals throughout the day. as most of you can by now, I can hold a little more food than before, so i am just adding salads to my protein of choice. it seems to be working as i have lost 3 of 12 pounds i put on over christmas. also, exercise and more h2o. never had a problem with my meds. i am using fitday.com to track my cals and would love if you wanted to be wls-support buddies.
the worst triggers for me are night time snacks..i love a banana with a little peanut butter etc, but that adds up over time..
anyhoo--good luck to you!!
we can do it with the lord's help! he got us this far!!
