New Me and HOPEFULLY New Job!

Hi Everyone Just wanted to post and ask if you could say a little prayer for me this week. Thursday I had noticed a posting for an open Teaching Position as a Special Ed Business Teacher within the school system I work in now. I also noticed that someone had posted a stupid announcement on top of this information which meant that my Resume and Letter of Intent was due into the Director of Human Resourses with a deadline of the next day. I went home, typed up a new resume and cover letter and hand delivered it on Friday morning. Now I just have to wait for notice of an interview. There are a few other candidates for the same position but I may be the only one applying for this position from within. It was also posted in last Sunday's paper. If I am the only internal applicant that is good for me, since it will make my wanting this position more of a reality. The nice thing is it would be more than double my current salary. When I asked my current Assistant Principal if I could use his name as a reference he was dumbfounded. He told me he did not want to lose me but also wished me luck and repeatedly told me he did not want to lose me. I then told him there were no guarantees that I would even get this position. How soon will you know about the job? I was in the same boat as you, having applied for a promotion and then the subsequent waiting,but as of yesterday I am a supervisor. I hope you have the same luck I did.

Still waiting for an interview appointment. There are several positions in different departments being interviewed. They just haven't gotten around to the Business Ed department. Will keep you posted, Marianne
