All the sudden - sick with every meal

This is definitely new territory for me. I am getting sick with every meal. It doesn't matter what I eat - or how much or little. I immediately get very nauseated, feeling flush, and can hardly hold my head up. It's been almost a week of this. I can't figure out what in the world has changed. I am on steroids right now for a flare up with the MS, but other than that - all meds have been the same (except for another increase in the chemo drugs for the Rhuematoid arthritis). I can't figure this out. It's horrible. Has anyone experienced this and found relief somewhere??????' Thanks Leslie

I have been doing the exact same thing. My doc has checked my gall bladder. I had a HIDA scan yesterday. He is certain that is what is causing it, but I also was having pains in my chest. I though I was having a heartattack. Maybe you should ask your doc. Oh, also my blood sugar drops sometimes and I do this, but it is not usually after I eat. Marcia

thanks Marcia. I don't have a gall bladder anymore, but it does kind of remid me of a gall bladder attack. Maybe I shoudl check into this blood sugar thing. I do have a glucometer from when I was pregnant (had some kind of glucose intolerance thing with both pregnancies). I would if I could be developing diabetes. How would I know?? Surely NOT. I mean, I have enough illness already.

No, it isnot diabetes but rather hypoglycemia. This disorder is rarely ocurs by itself, it usually happens to people that are diabetic, but people who have had gastric bypass can develop it for some strange reason. What it is..you do not have enough sugar for your body to function properly, and our bodies actually need sugar badly to survive. So you get dizzy and all weird becuase your brain is starving for sugar. Anyway, your symptoms sounded more like gallbladder than glucose, but it is something you can check. Marcia

Thanks Sandy for the hugs and advice. But I lost my health insurance back in June - don't have a doctor to call now. SUCKS. Unfortunately, this problem IS continuing. I am getting quite sick with every meal. In fact, I've lost FIVE LBS in about four days - if that tells you anything. I'm now down from 187 to 182 in just four days. I cannot stand the thought of eating - I just get so physically ill. (Hey, but at least the two month plateau is over! LOL) I know it shouldn't be my gall bladder, as I do not have one! LOL But if anyone on this planet would be able to grow another one- it WOULD be me! LOL I'm just a freak of nature. hehe! Hopefully, this WILL pass. I guess it wil just have to b/c I don't know what to do. I have no ideas on how to fix this. I am just not eating until I absolutely have to, which right now, is about once a day - in the evening. Hopefully, I hope and pray, it will settle down. I've taken all the phenergen (sp?) that I've had on hand.

Sweet Leslie, Insurance or not, you MUST seek medical attention for this. We cannot afford to "fool around" when something is not "right", and being continuously nauseated is Definitely not right!! You could have developed an ulcer or a hernia. PLEASE,PLEASE seek medical attention somewhere, somehow. It could be VERY serious!!! Let us know what you hear. Pam
