Dont want to lose nay more weight!
WLS has been the greatest gift ever given to me, and I thank God and the skilled surgeon I had every day. With this great gift, does come daily struggles and emotional issues.
What I am struggling with now, is wanting to not lose any more weight for awhile. (I CANNOT beleive I am saying this). I am now fitting comfortably in a size 10. My BMI will be in the normal range if I lose 4 more pounds. My brain is not catching up tp the weight loss yet and I want to give it a chance to. Has any one else felt this? What did you do?
ANy insight will be great.

Hey terri i know what your talking about.... personally if i dont lose anymore then i will be just fine... NOW i know i have not hit onederland and that i am only 5 lbs from it but honestly i started freaking out the other day bc i could put on a L t shirt... i can see that my clothes are smaller but my head still sees the 350 lb person... i cant wait til my brain wakes up and says hey ur not that 350 lb person... UR HOT.....lol
I haven't gotten there yet. I want to lose more. It isn't like I need to lose a lot more but I just don't like where the weight is at right now. Everyone tells me if I lose anymore weight I am going to disappear but they honestly don't know. I know that if your ready to maintain then your going to have to get on a maintainence plan. Like when your on Weigh****chers and you reach your goal and you start maintaining. I think your best bet would be to discuss this with your nutritionist. That way he/she can explain it to you. Give you idea's on what to do and help you not get discouraged if it takes a little bit for you to get it right where you are comfy.
I wish you the best.

Congratulations in mental reaching that thought. We had surgery one day apart. I'm only down about 105 and want to definately lose more at least 50 lbs more which would bring me to 130-135 which for my height is the ideal weight. It may take me a while longer to get there and I'm working on it. Though may have told me that I look good as I am - I know I can do better and want to do better. If you feel comfortable with whom you are you've reached at least your mental goal (hehehehe). Maybe in a couple days or months you may want to continue to lose or you can be happy with what you have today. The important thing is that you're happy with YOU.
