Hello All, As of today I am 91lbs down. I saw my surgeon on Friday and he is very happy. He even started saying I can look about the tummy tuck, breast reduction and arm surgery sometime soon. I would like to lose a whole bunch more weight though. I am now 268lbs and feel as light as ever if you can believe it. I would like to thank each and every one of you. When I was embarrased or scared to share that I wasn't eating as I should you all were there and gave words of encouragement and ideas. I don't know you all but you all are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!! I am now on Weigh****chers....and still losing. My plateau at 80lbs really scared me. Right now it is sooooooo hot here (Toronto,Ontario) that I notice all I want is salad and chicken or salmon and the flavoured waters (non-carb). And of course my vitamins. I feel on top of the world and that I can get down to what I want to be. I'm 5'8 and my surgeon says for me 175 would be fine...now he's saying 160. I kind of am thinking around 140 or so....I guess I'll know when I get there. But do any of you have a goal that your doctors think is a bit low....or in the back of your head you know others will think is unrealistic. God Bless all of you.

My doc never gave me a goal. I asked him about having one last month and he said my body will quit losing when it's ready to. Go figure? Congrats so far!!! Katie

I think 140 is realistic! Thats where I would like to be. 140-145 range. I also did not get a magic # to shoot for. They just said 75% of my excess weight would be excellent. I figure that puts me around 150. Lots of other people are starting to harrass me about the fact that I am "skinny and need to stop now". Truthfully, I don't know how to stop. It has slowed down but has not stopped. I go to the pool for arobics 6 times a week. Maybe that helps.

Hi, I was and still am dealing with what I think is a plateau at 100 pounds (give or take 5 pounds). I'm holding at 260 (starting weight 360). What's your Weigh****chers diet like? What do you eat or not eat? I'm thinking of joining them. At 5'7'' I'd like to get to around 200 so I can start talking about plastic surgery. Grace

Hey, Weigh****chers is the points plan still ...but they also have the core plan. The core plan is wholesome foods, fruits and veggies...and if you are on it you can eat as much as you want. So for us that's not that much. You should check out their website. I know that they are not a WLS support group ...but I just find that I do so much better knowing that I have to stand on their scale Saturday mornings. And they are worth while for me. I find that I need that support of everyone there...the stories they tell...stuff that may pertant to you and your experiences....the helpfullness ...ha ha the clapping when you've lost and stuff and the excitement of it all . Like this week I did AMAZING up until yesterday so I'm not so happy but the stress and stuff that's going on...it is understandable...but at least now I know which salad I like what to do with the chicken....it's like now I have a plan and I'm proud to know that at least for a lot of days this week I did very very well even though I doubt that will show up on the scale in the morining
