Well I am on a MAJOR plateau! I can't seem to lose any more weight! I am getting a little discouraged. Is this normal? I haven't lost any weight in about a month!! ARGH! I have lost a total of 105 and feel GREAT about it. However, I want to see some sort of sign that more will come off! I am not ready to call it quits yet! Thanks for listening! Codie

Codie- I am the same place you are- just don't give up- this has been like a wake up call for me- am I drinking as much water as I should? Is there a protein shake included daily? Am I grazing? Hang in there- Victoria

Codie - I think most of us are in the same boat as you, losing S-L-O-W! The "honeymoon" is definitely over, the weight is no longer dropping off, I'm having to fight for every pound these days. Two things that are keeping me going are (1) I so want to be DONE with the weight loss mode of my life, and I don't want to be there EVER AGAIN! I'm ready to be in maintenance mode and stay THERE for the rest of my life! And (2) I'm hoping to have plastic surgery in September and I want to be at my goal weight! I don't see the sense in having breast reduction and TT if I am not at my goal, and September will be here SOON! So evaluate your cir****tances and figure out what motivation will get you to GOAL! Good luck! Hugs, Sandy (268/158/136)

You're doing the plastic surgery too! Check out my latest post.. I'm having reconstruction and TT (for the reconstruction). Eric's also wanting a TT, but he's waiting until I'm though with mine first. Tina

You and me both, hon. And what makes it worse, is that I was sick for about a month ago, so my weight slowed down then, too. So even though I've lost 100 pounds, I feel like I should've lost more. Dont' lose heart, though. I broke my foot, and someone just reminded me that this would be a good time to focus on muscle development. Try to stay positive!! Grace

Thanks for reminding me that just when you think you have it so bad you find someone that is worse off than yourself! I hope that you get back to feeling better soon! Muscle tone is a great thing to work on in your "down" time! What great advise! I could use some muscle toning myself! Hang in there and good luck! Thanks! Codie

Codie: Guess what, I had my surgery 8+ months ago and literally have had 4-four month plateuas. I am the slowest loser of WLS - so don't give up. If this is your first one - it won't last forever. Just follow the rules. I get upset every day. What is the alternative if you are following the rules? There is none. Good luck!!!! J.
