Picture me now.. lol
So, I haven't posted in a while... Two sessions of chemo down, two to go. I'm did better than I thought I would on the second run. The new medication had a lot less side effects. My main battle was with constipation (side effect) - I was told to eat more fiber, but that means more carbs! The balance between cancer/chemo and bariatrics is very difficult to deal with. They don't want me loosing weight, but I do. They say I'm loosing to fast and I say not fast enough! Ugh!
So big news: Eric is under 200!!!!! It was so cool! 320 to 197 in 7 months. The other cool news is that I'm no longer a "Just My Size" girl! I purchased regular 16P (not 16 woman's) jeans. The skin is a bit annoying, but they buttoned and zipped just fine and I could still breath. So although weight loss for me has slowed, my body is still changing size (must be the skin shrinking?).
So.. whatcha think of my bald head???
Tina
W0W girl, you look amazing! (bald head to boot) I know how horrible Id look bald cause I have an abnormally Large head. (seriously) But you, with that perfectly shaped head and wicked smile....WOW! I hope you are feeling well through these treatments. They brought my Dad way down when he had them a year and a half ago. Continued luck with your recovery and weight loss. Ill say a prayer for you.

Sweetie, we are so inspired by your courage and determination. It makes what we are going thru kind of trivial... but know that we are all in your corner, cheering you on, (with great big ol fluffy pom poms) and lifting prayers for you and yours all the time... Keep up the good work.
Just a note... benefiber... great way to get in extra fiber and I don't think there are any carbs... another way is Sugar Free Citrucel... tastes like Orange Tang to me... good luck sweets

Tinaaaaaaaaa!
So good to SEE you
You are beautiful, bald head and all! Congrats on everything going well for you with the chemo and the weight loss, and also for Eric!
As far as the constipation, I think I discovered a helpful thing... maltitol
This is one of those sweeteners they put in sugar free candy that they warn you about because of the laxative effect... I bought some sugar free sal****er taffy while on a road trip this weekend. I ate a bunch of 'em... let me just say that I don't remember EVER being so cleaned out! Sorry if that's TMI. But today is my weigh day at my mom's dr scale and I lost 2.5 lbs! Just an idea if things get too stopped up, maybe a little legal treat here and there can help? Take care, keep up the good work sweetie!
