Has your surgeon even suggested to you when it is OK for you to have Plastic Surgery since surgery?? I plan on waiting another year. Probably closer to my 2 year anniversary, and that is only if I have developed a hernia or some other problem, that my health insurance will cover. I sincerely doubt I could pay for Plastic Surgery out of pocket. Just curious.....again.....Didn't curiosity kill the cat?? ROFL... Erin

My surgeon won't do it before a year. It will cost about $5000. to get a tummy tuck done by my gastric doctor. He offers it only to his gastric patients. He is not a plastic surgeon but He doesn't do anything that is not perfect! I have seen many of the bellys he has worked on and they good to me. He requires a 23 hour stay at the hospital. This is just to be sure everything is OK before sending you home. This way the hospitals bill is not so large. As it is he gets about a 4th of the money. and the hospital gets the rest. Trust me, I am putting all my change in a jar in anticipation of the day!

My surgeon said I should wait at least 18 months post-op to make sure my weight has stablized. I hate to weight that long but I understand his reasoning. I am saving my pennies too. I seriously doubt insurance will pay for it. Sherry

It would be really nice if it was a package deal huh? I should start saving my pennies too as well. It would be great if insurance would pay for it but they are really cracking down on paying for WLS. It is a nice pipe dream so saving my pennies is the way to go. Erin
