will the lose stop ??
I was reading about the wls the last few day's, about how we are told that we will lose 80 to 100 lbs. and the rest will be up to us. Well I am a slow loser!! (bummer).I still need to lose 43 lbs. It is comming off soooo slow now I am a little worried that it will stop. Do you ever think about this.Everyone lookes so close's at me how I am doing what I am eating, how much I lose.I dont think I will stop losing but being a slow loser make's me worrie. Will this weight loss stop, I work very hard to lose the weight that I have lost, I work out 5 day's a week, and eat and drink right. I do want to make it to goal,I dont realy care what people, think or say. It must be my old hang up's poping up, let me know if you ever think this way.
Hi! Old hang ups . . . I can totally relate to that! I've heard statistics about how WLS helps you lose a certain percentage of excess weight, like 75 percent for instance. I personally believe that weight loss might stop there because old eating habits return. If you continue doing what you're doing, your weight loss should continue!
Last week I went back to keeping a little chart of what I was eating and how many carbs, protein grams and calories I was taking in. I haven't done that in months but I feel like I have slacked off somewhat and I needed to reevaluate. Maybe you could do the same. Maybe you have some hidden calories/carbs that you aren't thinking about that are sabotaging you?
Also you are exercising alot, so am I. I'm wondering if that slows down the weight loss since muscle weighs more than fat? I'm going for my 6-month check up tomorrow and will ask my doctor. Hugs, Sandy
Being only 43 lbs. from your goal does not sound "slow" to me! That sounds great, and I know that you can do it. It just stands to reason that if we keep eating less than we burn, we WILL continue to lose weight even if it is slow. I really don't think that you have anything to be concerned about, although I know that it is hard to not worry that we will go back to our "old ways". I think about it often, but just remind myself that I have this wonderful "tool" to help me and that not only must my eating habits change, but my "thought habits" as well. Hang in there. You are doing great and you ARE going to make your goal! Hugs, Pam
I do. I don't consider myself a slow loser but it has slowed down considerably since the way I was loosing the first few months. I was dropping over 20 pounds a month. Now maybe 10. I have a week where I don't drop then it seems like I am losing a pound a day. It all depends. You are very close to your goal so I wouldn't worry. If you still had 200 pounds to lose and it was slowing down considerably then I would say well it may not all come off but your way to close.
Keep up the great work.
