How many carbs??
Hi Sherry -
My surgeon has a strict pre- and post-op program but I can't complain because he is very cautious and conservative AND most importantly the surgery went off without a hitch and I'm thrilled with my weight loss.
Since surgery I have been on a daily program of 70 grams of protein and 30 grams of carbs. I eat no bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, beans or fruit. Of course I have my little slip ups here and there, but maybe only once a week or so. I also take the following vitamins: in the am: multivitamin, 2 Citracals, 1 Vitron with extra C; midday: multivitamin, 2 Citracals, B complex; night: multivitamin, 2 Citracals, acid reducer, 2 biotins. When I go for my 6-month appointment on Tuesday I'm going to ask about potassium because I have been getting leg cramps.
When I reach my goal I'm for sure going back to my nutritionist for guidance. I'm so into the weight loss mode I think it will be a confusing and difficult transition into the maintenance mode.
Hope this helps! I'm also interested to know what others are eating/not eating and what vitamins you all are taking? Hugs, Sandy (P.S. Also exercising five-six times a week!)

Hey Sandy,
I work nite shift so my routine is backwards from the rest of the world but here is my med schedule...
10 pm 2 calcium tabs
12 mdnight 1 flintstone, biotin, b12
2 am 2 calcium
6 am 1 flintstone, 1 b complex, 2 evening primrose (essential oils)
By the time I get home all meds are done and I don't have to worry about it anymore. Days off are tuff to remember... I have signs posted all over ..."DID YOU TAKE YOUR VITAMINS???"
