Well Yesterday was 6 months. Lets see: I am down 130 lbs since surgery and 175 lbs since last may. To just sit here and think about that amazes me. I have more energy then I know what to do with. I play in a band on the weekends and can no longer stand still on stage, I am either diving or jumping off of whatever is around, I just bounce all over up there. I now have a gym membership and I actually enjoy going 5 times a week. I have nothing that fit me, but I am gladly putting up with shopping for new stuff. My health is good and the small complication from surgery is well behind me. If all this wasn't enough I am making settlement on my first house tomorrow, so I think the last 6 months have been pretty good for me. I would do it all again in a heart beat. I'm not saying that there have not been any low points in this whole process, I had a blood clot two days after surgery and I was scared to death from that. I still have a limited menu, I can't eat any Chicken, pork, or steak which pretty much limits my real meals to fish, eggs, and cheese. I can pretty much eat anything else in small quantities, which sometimes scares me, I wish I did dump but don't. Well I just wanted to share some of the last 6 months with my fellow september people Dave 455/410/280/???

Good job Dave! You are doing an amazing job! My hubby is a musician too and was in a band when I met him. What does your band think of your changes? What kind of music do you guys play and do you sing or play something or both?? I'm realy happy for you! ~Sue

Hey David! Congrats on your tremendous weight loss!! I am also 6 months out and down 80 lbs. I tried to click on your band's link to see the New You , but it didn't work. I went directly to your band's website, but couldn't find a pic of the band, only pics of the audience, LOL. Kristi

Hey Dave, I checked out your band page the other day! I loved your play list, it made me want to have a party and fly you guys out to L.A.!! Oh well, maybe when one of my daughters gets married... that's a few years down the line though!! Oh yes, and coincidentally, I saw this guy posting on the California board that also plays in a cover band. I saw many of the same songs on both of your playlists. He's having surgery over spring break, i believe. You should check out his page, the link to his band's website is at the bottom of his page under interests. He doesn't know me, I just have seen him post on the Cali board and saw that you guys have the music thing in common. Here's a link to his page. http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/profile.phtml?N=D1103317512 Well, keep up the good work with your weight loss and and health and music, see ya again on the board! ~Sue
