Hello everyone my name is charlene martin and its been 6 months since my surgery on sept. 10th 2004, and I am so glad to let you all know that I have lost 105.2 lbs and I feel so good no more hurting when I walk and no more pain , I now have more energy then I did a year ago, my family and freinds can really see the weight loss , and my eating is alot better now , did have some trouble with chicken and pork ,but I stay away from those items now and eat alot of high proteins, I am back at work as a nursing assistant and I love my job even more now then before ,the people I work with are very encuraging t me and they are so pleased that I had this surgery done, they also can see the weight loss on me also.I have gone through a few things in my closet that I could not wear before and had to throw some old cloethes out that where not wearable any more ,but not to the trash I donated them to charity for women who need large sizes , and that was a big heartfelt thing I did , for them. I have not felt good in a about a year and a half before my surgery and now I feel so good and gee I have so much energy I just can't stop and sit and give my body a rest I just want to keep going an going, anyway good luck to those of you have the surgery its a wanderful thing to have if you want to be healthy and live a longer and better life for yourself , My one addvice is to keep you head up high and do it for yourself and no one else, and always have your family and freinds support, it works and alot of good healthy prayers also, my best of luck to all ,love charlene martin, xxxooo

Hi Sandy ,well I do alot of water arobics for movement and I do this three too four times a week unless mother nature calls, but I feel great I am an active person now and do alot of other things too I do try to walk a bit but there are times I don't handle to well, but I am starting to get to even work in the yard with my husband now a few years ago I could not even handle being outside for very long or even for the standing and bending I did to help clean out the flower beds and pull the weeds out of the yard , now I can mow the lawn and do the yard work with him without hurting and walking, thanks for all your suport I do take it in stride everyday I do and feel better for having this surgery.its been a long time for me too even say that and it feels great. thanks again charlene martin
