Marianne, I am so sorry this has happened with your sister. My own sister and I are like night and day, and have experienced similar situations. I like the previous post that mentioned not going to dinner with them. It is healthy to set boundaries with someone who you feel isn't concerned with your best interest/feelings. I will be thinking of you! On a side note my husband and I agreed at our new base we wouldn't tell people about my surgery b/c honestly everyone just asks so many questions and it's personal you know..Anyhoo~there was this guy we randomly ran into that did ROTC with my husband--well he didn't recognize me from 2 years ago..and i told him i had lost 75 pounds since then. He went nuts wanting to know how i did it. I felt so bad not telling him the real reason, b/c it took just as long to say i have been eating 1,000 cal a day and exercising. Anyhoo~I know how you feel. -Katie

Hi Marianne, Sorry your sister upset you like that. This is such an emotional and personal journey, many people don't realize how deep our feelings run when it comes to our weight and the changes we are going through. But, you know we all understand here. ((hugs)) ~Sue
