I can't imagine eating like I did before the surgery. Are you sure you are not remembering your old eating habits differently than they actually were? In any case, I think you should definately talk to your Dr. and your nutritionist. Make sure you write down exactly what (and how much) you have eaten for a few days before your appointments. Good luck to you!
Love and hugs,

I get hungry pretty often, but I do get full when I eat. Usually after not tooo much!! I too think that you should carefully measure and write down EVERYTHING you eat and then discuss it with your dietician or doctor.
Hope you find out something soon. I know it must be very scary to gain 5 lbs. after losing so much!!

I have felt that way lately also, last night i ate like 4-5 oz of chicken thigh and could have ate more but i stoped myself but i was like totally hungry a few mins later,
now for me i am wondering if my hunger is pms related but 5OZ!!! scares me
my doc is like 6 hours away so i am looking for someone new anyway
ive only lost 58lbs myself and have 30-40 left to lose

i have read on this site that our stomachs can eventually hold 8 ounces. i'm willing to believe that's true. i saw someone post a few weeks ago that her doc said just b/c she could eat a whole sandwich now, doesn't mean she has too. it's all in what we are eating. sometimes i feel guilty and then i remember that i am not eating the quantity that i used to.
you are in my thoughts!

Amanda - you've come along way and you've had an amazing weight loss. Since you realize that you may be able to eat more - doesn't mean that you should eat more. I was in a meeting that one of the girls said she can eat anthing etc...and the counselor say that if that is the case the thing that she has to watch out for is portion control. Before surgery - I'm sure many people encouraged you (and me) to use portion control. If eveything is okay with the pouch (after checking with the doc) then your best /our best recourse is to watch the portions. Otherwise, we can eat and eat. There are days that for dinner I can get full on one fish fillet from gorton's. Other days I have a bit more - and on those days I wanna have a bit more I watch that that is in pre-portion to 5 oz., and not go over. Take care!!
Some day's I feel like I eat more then other's but then I realize it still isn't like the way I use to eat. Depending on what I am eating I can eat more of some things then I can of other's. I hope you get some answer's though, I know it is a scary though so I can't imagine what your dealing with.
I wish you all the best.
