Hi guys I am back in town after traveling to Atlanta and South Carolina last week. My hubby had a business trip near there, so I went to visit with an old high school friend who's also had gastric bypass, and then I met up with hubby and we spent the weekend together road tripping! It was very fun but challenging also in some ways. Some of the difficult aspects were: no access to my scale, too much restaurant dining where I found it difficult to stop eating in time to avoid feeling too full, even though I split meals, etc. also, much of the food in the restaurants in the south was richer than I am used to at home. I had several episodes of grouch pouch, but nothing serious. I also didn't track my food all last week, where as I usually do fitday everyday. I was scared to weigh when I got home, but I had my weekly weigh in on my parent's doctor scale yesterday and was down half a pound. I was happy about that!! Only half a pound, but in the right direction at least... I went to the gym yesterday, and I'm going again today. So hopefully I'll have a good loss next monday. Shopping in Atlanta was very fun! I got my make-up done at the Mac counter and got a few new clothes. Trying things on is way more fun now! Flying was much easier with my newly smaller self, and I took a walking tour through a submarine in Charleston that would have been difficult, if not impossible with my old body. So that was my adventure last week! I missed you guys! What have you guys been up to? Love, Sue

Sounds like you had a great time. We missed you too. I have been trying to keep myself on track, not doing as well as I'd like to, but I'm getting there. It's not food that messing me up so that's a good thing. That's awesome that you still lost a half a pound. Anywho, I'm glad you had a good time and glad to have you back. God Bless, Jo

Hi Jo! Thanks for your sweet words. I know what you are saying about staying on track, and some days are definitely so much harder than others. I just tell myself if I can make it through those days ok, it will get easier again. Hang in there! Love, Sue
