6 months!!! ????depression/anxiety issues

Well it's been 6 months and I ve lost 89 pounds since surgery and 133 pounds total. I feel like a new person. I just have one question though. I have a history of depression/anxiety and continue to take meds for this. But I've noticed in the last few weeks I've been having panic attacks, and even if I'm not having a panic attack I always feel anxious. I can be awake for 30 some hours, my heart races and I feel like I'm shaking all the time. Sometimes I cry uncontrollably, especially if I'm under any stress. Or just the complete opposite, I can sleep for 12-18 hours get up for a few hours and go back to sleep. Is this because of hormonal changes? I don't feel depressed, not like used to but I know something is wrong because I don't feel right. Is anyone else going through this? I am followimg up with a doctor this week, but kind of curious if this could just be from the changes in my body since surgery. Thanks in advance for any replies. Christina

I would give your doctor a call and have him check into readjusting your meds. Maybe some of them may be too strong for you now, that in addition to the hormonal changes may be causing your old meds not to work as well. Good luck.

Just like everyone's said you may need your med dose changed etc. When your perscribed anything usually it is to your body. Gaining or losing weight can effect that. I know that in the past I need 3 tylenol to take away a headache and now1-2 is just fine and works. I hope things get better and your doctor can give you some useful information. Shannon
