The pill

My doctor wants me to go on the pill for birth control. Is anyone else on the pill, what have your doctors said about the absorption rate. My doctor said i will be just as effective for me, but i want to know what you guys think. Thanks

I was on the pill. Doc put me on the patch, but advised using condoms as well. So far no problems. Hope that helps! -Katie

Hey guys... I have the solution for you. Instead of taking the pill orally I now use the "NuvaRing". It releases the same hormones as the pill but constantly and lighter. You can't forget to take it. You insert it vaginally and wear it for three weeks, take it out for the one week you are on the cycle and then put in a new one. It is the best form of BC I have been on - and I tried the shot before. I did it because I was worried about absorption and I am so glad I did. EASY! Laura Lap RNY 9/7/04 330/206/140
