Okay, folks! I read through the polls and this week's favorite food is TUNA SALAD!!! My tuna salad is nasty. How do you all make it? Thanks! Beth -88 lbs

my best tip re: tuna salad is to add in chopped apple, or even chopped carrot, in place of or in addition to chopped celery and/or a bit of onion. This combined with light mayo, salt and pepper, and make sure it's chilled. It's better that way. I also like those banana pepper slices on top every now and then. Vlasic makes them, kinda like a peporoncini only milder. YUM. ~Sue

My tuna salad is kinda boring, just a bit of mayo and a bit of chopped onion. I don't add to many ingredients.

Starkist white albecore in water or those nifty little pouches, dab of mayo, even smaller dab of mustard, dill pickle relish, salt and pepper. Not too fancy, but it does the trick! -Katie

All I add is a hard boiled egg or 2 and mayo. Once in a while I'll spring for celery too. I have to admitt the one with apple sounds good, I might have to try that. Hope you find one you like. God Bless! Jo

Drain 1 can of tuna. Mix with finely chopped celery, dill pickles, 2 Tbls light mayo, 2 dashes of onion powder. Refrigerate at least 1 hour to allow flavors to mix.

My mom always put just a splash of pickle juice in with the standard tuna, onion, celery and mayo.

Thanks Beth, I wrote all that down. I tried a chicken salad the other day at my support group meeting that had apples in it and loved it... so I guess I can have the tuna or chicken like this.... Thanks a bunch IB2R -112
