So, when you make your goal weight, and if money was no issue (like that will EVER happen)... where would you go on your DREAM vacation to celebrate?????? I would love to go on an Alaskan Cruise!!!! Ahh... maybe someday!!! Of course, I'd also LOVE to take the kids to Disney one day too!!!! That would probably come first! We'll probably have to save Alaska for retirement!

Bora Bora for at least 14 days! No kids! *Don't get me wrong I love my kdis with all my heart, but I need a break! My three year old was sent home from pre-school today with Pink Eye.

I have always wanted to go to Egypt to see the Pyramids or Israel, but with the political climate of the world right now I don't see either of those trips taking place. I'd settle for Italy or Greece! -Katie

Great poll question Katie! Vacations take on such a new meaning when weight isn't an issue, you know what I mean, right? Last month we took a dream family vacation to Disneyworld, something I had been putting off for years, my youngest is 8 years old and I kept saying I wanted her to be old enough to really enjoy it and remember it! When really I wanted to avoid the inevitable embarassment of not fitting into some (most) of the rides! Even though I hadn't reached my goal when we went last month I knew I was ready! We stayed at the Pop Century Resort in Disney and spent 5 jam packed days in each of the parks plus a day at Universal. We got up early and stayed out late and walked and walked and walked! And I had energy to spare, even put the rest of the family to shame! This might sound goofy but my heart was filled with so much joy! I knew that this was what life was all about, making wonderful memories without my weight being the unspoken issue that nobody dares talk about. In August we are heading for Cancun for a family vacation. I hope to have reached my goal by then. I'm looking forward to ALL the activity with my kids and husband, scuba (my son is certified), snorkeling, maybe windsurfing, whatever comes my way . . . the freedom is so appealing, I feel like I've gotten myself out of jail . . . As far as a dream vacation, my husband promised me a trip to Atlantis in the Bahamas (no kids!) when I reached my goal. He promised me before surgery and it seemed so remote, haha! Now it is sneaking up and I will be READY! I am lovin' life these days! Lap RNY 9/20/04 268/182/136

Any where that wouldn't require flying or else i'd have to go without my husband, he's afraid to fly. Since this poll is fantasy I would say he wouldn't be afraid to fly, we'd have the money to go anywhere and I'd take a cruise around the world stopping in as many places as I can. I want to see everything. But for a regular type vacation i'd say Italy. Shannon

Hi Katie and everyone~ Well I guess I must really want to travel because I want to go to every place you guys have mentioned. I have actually thought about going to all of those same places! If I had to pick one, it would probably be somewhere tropical, but then, I don't know!!!! I just know I will definitely travel more as I get older, slimmer and especially as my kids get older. It's fun to dream about, isn't it? If someone knows of a tropical beach, with nearby history to explore, that is still safe to travel to, shark free (I know, I'm a wierdo), with a swim-up bar and incredible bargain shopping, then let me know!! I'm there!!! ~Sue

I love to travel--always have!! We have had an RV for years and have been everywhere in the USA with our kids when they were with us and now just hubby and I and the dogs. We especially love National Parks in the west like Yellowstone and Glacier. We like to go to the Cancun area too for a tropical change of pace----traveling is great! I can't wait to go there as a "normal" person lol. But where would I go if there were no limits? I would love to see Italy and Rome with all the history and ancient stuff to explore!! I would love to see Europe and England at least once in my life. Here's to us all fiting in where ever we go, Sharon

Oh Sharon - I'm completely jealous!!!! We looked into renting an RV for our trip to TN in April - no WAY, too expensive... so, something we'd have to save for. GREAT quote: Here's to us all fitting in wherever we go!!!! Literally!!! Katie

You'll love the Alaskan Cruise. My dream is to go to Ireland for 3 weeks and do genealogy on my father's family. When I reach goal, I plan to do just that.

My dream vacation will be fun no matter where I go if I can: sit in an airplane seat and know I can fasten the seatbelt with room to spare - and won't worry that I'm going to be charged for two seats!!; can go on amusement park rides and know that the seatbelt and the chest protectors will fit with room to spare; can look in the mirror with other people in it too and see a healthy and normal weight reflection of me and know that that's what I really look like to others; have plenty of energy to do what I want and walk all over the place with family and cameras in hand. I'm sure there is more but this is what I can think of for now and you know what, I have flown and been more comfortable already so I know it is coming!!
