Hello September friends Back by popular demand... our progress poll! 1)starting height, weight and size 2)current weight and size, total lost 3)favorite foods of the week 4)wls concerns of the week 5)any WOW moments you'd like to share 6)do you have a goal weight, if so, how much left to lose? MINE... 1) 5'1, 237 lbs high weight, 228 at surgery, size 22 2) currently 164, size 12, lost 64 since surgery, 73 from high weight. 3) artichokes and tangerines. 4) my skin. (between breaking out in zits and my sagging neck,I have not been thrilled with my face this week, but i am finally clearing up a bit) 5) ok, my wow moment this week is when i bought a pair of GAP KIDS size 16+ jeans from a thrift store and they fit!!!! 6)I don't really have a firm goal weight, but I guess I could start with 125, which is 39 lbs away for me. Hi, Sue!! 1. Day of Surgery: 5'3", 280lbs and wearing a snug 26. 2. Today, 192 lbs, size 16-18 and never had the guts to measure! 3. Favorite food this week: Carb Control yogurt, 6 oz mixed with 6 oz of Carb Countdown skim milk and 2 big strawberries (unsweetened and had been frozen) mushed to puree and mixed in! Almost 20 gms of protein. It was nice and thick and GOOD! 4. Not tolerating anything that is dense...fiber or meat. Don't know if oscar the pouch is just being sensitive or what? 5. I pulled my college daughter's old pea coat out of the closet (XL) and not only does it fit, it's FITTED!! I have a waist!! 6. No real goal, here. Thanks for the poll! Makes one realize how much we have to be thankful for!!! Beth

1)starting height 5'6.5", weight 251 and size 22 2)current weight 182.5 and 12/M tops 14/16 pants, total lost 68.5 3)favorite foods of the week: Tuna & Mini Pretzels 4)wls concerns of the week: I have been hungry lately and that scares me b/c I have been eating too. It just scares me that I will have to go over 1000 cals a day. I don't want to stop losing. Also, I have no trouble eating sweets and that's scary too.... 5)any WOW moments you'd like to share: last week i bought clothes from a Juniors store. Can you even imagine!! The lady at the store asked me if I wanted to open a charge account and I was like no this is the first time I have shopped here. She asked me if I was new to town and I laughed and said--No, it's just the first time I have been able to fit in the clothes here b/c I have lost 68.5 pounds. All these women came up to me and were congratulating me. It was sweet. And today I bought some running shorts. I am so pleased so far. I am so amazed that I can go into any store and find clothes now. 6)do you have a goal weight, if so, how much left to lose? Doc hasn't set a goal. I would say between 135-150. So I have about 47.5-32.5 left to lose. God Speed WLSers! -Kt

1)starting height, weight and size 5'5'/266/22-24 2)current weight and size, total lost 195/ L or 16 pants and L or XL shirt/ 72 lbs lost as of last Wed. 3)favorite foods of the week Don't know, I guess cheese!! 4)wls concerns of the week I was so happy to under 200 last week that I have not really had any concerns this week!! And my last EGD did the trick and things like chicken salad and hamburger meat go down!! 5)any WOW moments you'd like to share I got a 10 year old leather coat out of the closet that was my daughters in college and it fit!! Was she shocked to see it again. It is a Large!! 6)do you have a goal weight, if so, how much left to lose? I want to go another 44lbs to a goal of 150. Then we will see My best to you all!! Sharon

Oh what fun....I wanna play! 1)starting height, weight and size: 5ft. 3inch., 272 lbs. A tight 26/28 2)current weight and size, total lost: 189 size 16 pants and L shirt -83lbs. 3)favorite foods of the week: Over easy egg on 1/2 piece whole wheat toast....don't know why...just craving it... 4)wls concerns of the week: I'm happy today...I have been at 192 for about 3 weeks and the scale just moved this am!!!!! 5)any WOW moments you'd like to share: I received the best compliment today EVER. A mom at the school I teach at said I'm looking GREAT and I said well I have about 50 more pounds I need to lose, and she said....get this..."you don't look like you could afford to lose 50 pounds!!!" 6)do you have a goal weight, if so, how much left to lose? I think I would like to be somewhere between 135 & 145. So right around 50 lbs. ~Sherry~

1)starting height, weight and size 5'8, 363 and I was in a 26-28 pushing that and 3-4 X shirts 2)current weight and size, total lost 5'8, 217.5, large-extra large shirts depending on the shirt and 16 jeans or large extra large pants depending on the style. I have lost a total of45-146 pounds. 3)favorite foods of the week anything that stays down 4)wls concerns of the week scale not moving 5)any WOW moments you'd like to share I had to go to the laundry mat cause we all had the flu last week and there were 10 loads of laundry to do. So I headed off to the local laundry mat and when I went to sit down on one of those summer outside cheap patio chairs I was astonished to find that I not only fit in it but with plenty of room on the sides to spare. In the past I have broken those chairs and the ones strong enough to hold me would be so tight I had lines around my legs from them. I was like WOW!!! 6)do you have a goal weight, if so, how much left to lose? Yes I have a goal weight of 170. Since I am floating between 217-218 I would say I have like 47 pounds to go... Shannon

Hi Everybody! 1) Height 5'5", weight one month before surgery 280 and weight day of surgery 270, size 22/24 2) Current weight is 210 size 16 in most pants and xl in most tops, and a total of 70 pounds lost from high weight. 3) Favorite foods of the week: I discovered pepperidge farms sugar free cookies, but I still think my favorite food is cheese. 4) WLS concerns of the week: My deflating boobs and my acne outbreak. 5) WOW moments: I went to Macy's and shopped in the "regular size" section. I found a beautiful pant coat that was originally $89 marked down to $26 and it fit me perfectly. I wore it to church on Sunday and got a ton of complements. I also bought a one piece speedo swimsuit at Costco for a mere $19.99 in a size 16 and it fit! So I went back and bought a size 14 too! 6) Do you have a goal weight, if so, how much left to lose? I would like to be half of my former self so my goal is 140 and as of today I am half way there with 70 pounds gone and 70 left to lose. Julia 280/210/140

Hello September WLS friends! 1)starting height, weight and size: 5'8", 368lbs., 32W 2)current weight and size, total lost: 270lbs., 22W, 98 lbs. gone!!! 3)favorite foods of the week: Tuna salad and fresh cauliflower. 4)wls concerns of the week: Threw up a few times. 5)any WOW moments you'd like to share: When I walked in on a group of women from church talking about how they have to do a double-take when they see me every week! 6)do you have a goal weight, if so, how much left to lose?: 160ish, 110 lbs. to go. Good Morning Sue, Thanks for yet another interesting poll! My High wgt. was 331 and today I am 261, so i'm down 70lbs., and I am very happy about that. Favorite foods have become tuna salad and carnation breakfast drinks. WLS concern.....seems i'm always stalling, no matter what i do, sometimes I feel like i'm the only one going thru this. However, the inches seem to keep falling off.....go figure. My wow moment was 2 wks ago when I bought a few new suits...and I was able to but them off the rack...NOT from a catalog! My goal weight is 200, but I will be happy around 215, so I have between 45-60lbs. to go. Although my surgeon thinks I will lose more. Thanks again Sue for the polls, please keep em coming! Steel

GOOD MORNING, LOSERS!!!! 1) Starting 380, 5X clothes 2) Current, 305, 3-4x clothes, taking measurements this weekend 3) Tuna salad on 1/2 toasted light english muffin 4) BLEEPING plateau STILL - over FIVE WEEKS now! 5) No more SEATBELT extender!!!!!!! 6) Goal: 175, approx 130 left to lose!
