I, too, am a animal person. I wanted to be a vet growing up and I think I became a NICU nurse because babies are the next best thing!!
I have only one dog now--my Chloe, a 5 year old Chihuahua because I had to have my 13 year old Boston Terrier, Chia put to sleep on Valentine's Day this year. This is the first time I have posted since then since it has really made me low and this seems like a good tribute to her. She had been blind for a couple of years from catracts but handled it great. Then she had a stroke on the 12th. So here to to Chia---the best Boston ever!!!!!!!! We have 2 cats, Moses and Daisy. I also have a dessert kangaroo rat named Peables that my wildlife biologist son trapped for me in Arziona on a resurach trip. I loved the one he kept for himself the year before---her name is Sandy.
The animal I would like most is a horse. I have always loved them but never managed to have one of my own.
I don't like huge pigs. I have to admit that they do scare me.
I have seen my Chinese zodiac animal at a Chinese restruant and I think it is a tiger----------
Best of luck to you fellow animal person!! Sharon (266/194/150)
Oh, I'm so sorry about your sweet Chia. She was wonderfully loved, and had a fantastic life!
And - BLESS YOU FOR BEING A NICU NURSE! Just reading that made my heart melt. I had two boys in the NICU at birth, and you guys are angels on earth. We were lucky, we got to take our babies home... it was very difficult leaving behind some of the other mommies/babies. Just this past summer we had my oldest's 5 year B-day party at the NICU for all the babies born in 1999 - it was amazing, and so nice to see all the nurses that took care of him!!!
OK - wipe my eyes, sniff sniff - get back to work... Katie
1) Yes
1 Dog- Rosie
2 Cat's- Angel and Sammy
4 Fish- not named yet
1 Hampster- Boss
1 Rabbit- Baby
2) If I could adopt any animal in the world and had acres and acres of land and so much money i'd never run out i'd probably rescue as many cat's and dog's as I can from every shelter around the country.
3) The only thing I am petrified of is snakes. I have tried in the past to hold one or even get next to one and I instantly freak and can't move. It is pretty scary. I don't mind looking at them while they are in a cage but I can't even pick up a garden snake.
4) How ironic is this, I'm a snake... LOL

Hi Katie,
Thank you our Poll-ster of the week! To answer your previous question, yes, we can still do a stat/wls related poll on Mondays if everyone wants to...
1)Yes, we have pets! We have a 10 year old yellow lab mix girl dog named Shady, and an 11 year old ****er/black lab mix boy dog named Maxx. We also have a yellow parakeet named... Tweety.
2) If I could adopt any animal in the world it would be... a well-trained (or trainable) little dachshound puppy.
3)Do any animals scare you? I am terrified of spiders, large beetles and aggressive stray dogs
4) I was born in a year of the horse. Don't know what, if anything that says about me.
Love,
Sue
GOOD POLL!!

1.) We have one 16 month old doxie mix named Woody--aka little Houdini.
We also have one 10 year old black lab mix named Ralph.
Our other dog-Honey-a 10 yr. yellow lab passed away last week. It was very unexpected, but what a great life she had and friend she was!
2 cats-Meepers & Mr. Pink
We have no human-children as of yet. Still newlyweds! Teehee.
2.) I would love to adopt a Lorikeet (bird) or a horse, but both produce a lot of poo...soo we'll see.
3.) Spiders and snakes terrify me.
4.) Year of the dog! Woof Woof! No Surprise there.

Hi,
Good topic.
1. We have an adorable black lab- black chow mix named Nash. He has very thick chow ears that are long like the lab and hang down. He has a great big curly tail and a super soft short haired head for us to pet!! The rest of his hair is quite long. We also have a grandpuppy who is yellow lab and a sweetheart. I am still waiting for human grandchildren, so we have to spoil Logan for now!!
2. I would probably adopt another dog, maybe a ****zue (spelling?).
3. Snakes and rats scare me. Thanks for the link, I would never have know my sign without it.
4. I am a snake so they should not scare me, but they do.
Have a nice day, Susan
Thanks Katie...I just love these questions/polls.
1. Unfortunately we don't have any pets at this time. We lost our 85#, 12 year old yellow Lab, Sam. She had cancer and diabetes. She was just the BEST dog EVER! Shortly there after we lost our 17 year old, 14#, schnauzer/poodle/****er mix Rosey, (who only spoke Poli****'s a long story). By the way Rosey was "the boss of dogs". She was so sad after Sam (also a girl) died. We were so heart broken that we are not sure if we can go through this again. THEY ARE BETTER THAN KIDS!...BUT NOT GRAND KIDS...
2. I would love to have a parrot. It's just not in the cards right now because we love to travel. Also they live to be 100, and although I now think, because of WLS, I will grow to be an old woman...I will never last that long! I just love birds.
3. I don't like snakes...hate finding them in my flower beds...this is Florida after all...and bugs in general just bug me!
4. I don't know about the Chinese thing...and don't have time to look it up...but I will when I get a chance...also...I didn't want to date myself...hahahahaha
Rosey in Fla....(yes it's not my name...but the dog's)
