I was wondering what vitamins everyone uses. The ones my nutritionist recommends are horse pills and I have such a hard time with them. I bought myself some chewable centriums and I like those. I prefer chewables anyway, I have never been a good pill taker, lol. Has anyone found something they really like and works well? Thanks for sharing.

Well, you're right..the ones that work the best are chewables. I take 2 childrens chewable, an iron pill and a B150 (that one is a bit big) but I take a bit of water and the gulp it down. I do the blood work 3/8 so we'll see how that turns out. I tried the chewable centrium but they come in Orange and I got tired of the flavor..the children's chewable were better for me. Keep up the good work!

My doctors recommended Flintstones Complete chewables. I take two per day and that seems to be working for me. All of my bloodwork has been fine so far. One of the places that advertises on this site (bariatric eating, I think) advertises some called Vista Vitamins. I haven't tried them, but they seem a little "pricey" to me.

The new Viactiv multi-vitamins are good. They were giving out samples at Wal-Mart the other day. However, they do not contain iron which my Dr. insists be a part of my multi. The flavors are chocolate and citrus. Good Luck, Katie!

OK... I have just been told about VITAMIST.COM at my last support meeting. They handed out samples and I ordered some as well. They are designed for bariatric patients. 8 sprays in the mouth and you get your vitamins absorbed through your cheeks. I have Womens Multivitamin, Calcium Carbonate, B12, Stress formula (keep at work) and they also have DHEA (I think that is what it is called) that is a youth hormone that I have ordered - it might help with the skin and hair so I will try it. Supposedly the absorbtion of the B12 eliminates the need for shots but I am still getting my shots just in case. They taste like a breath spray. Most are minty. They also have flavored supplements to help curb cravings but I didn't get any because I don't have sweet cravings yet. I'm VERY satisfied with the product and they are small enough I can take the months supply with me everywhere since they are smaller than some lip glosses. I hope this helps you because it sure helped me since I am horrible with the pill taking. I have not had blood checked yet, but I will be getting that checked in about two weeks so I can find out at my next appointment if the vitamins are sufficient. I will let you all know the results but it will be middle of March.

Hi Monica, I take the Flintstones chewable with iron. I take 2 a day and also 1 B12 sublingual per week. I just had bloodwork done friday and went to the doctor today and my labwork was perfect. Good luck!! ~Missy~
