sooooo not sleeping
I'm wondering if the September people are having trouble sleeping?
I manage to fall asleep, but what ever time I wake up--- that's it
for the night.
Sometimes 4 hours, five hours-- never near 8 or 7.
I know we get more energy but I do feel the loss of that extra
time in
I think someone mentioned low blood sugar could be the cause?
Thanks for any ideas!
Hi,
I am also soooo not sleeping. I wake often, I am down 75 and have 50-60 left. My skin is soooo saggy on my thighs and tummy and I wake up because my thigh skin is like wearing saggy pantyhose it twists (I am going to the doc to document it) and my tummy apron gets folded so I have to reposition. usally I am up by 6-7 on my days off, after going to bed at 12-1.
My blood sugar has been holding stable for a few months (no middle of the night potty trips). If it is low blood sugar try eating protien, and avoiding carbs right before bedtime, protien keeps your blood sugar at a steady elevation longer, carbs are like a roller coaster.
Did you get tested for sleep apnea prior to surgery, if not and it its gone that could be why your body thinks this is great, you are getting more rest in less time.

I was sleeping pretty good but then everyone around me got sick. We are all getting over the flu or what felt like the flu but lasted 4-5 days. It was awful believe me. I was real tired and falling to sleep fast but lately it's been taking me forever which is how it use to be prior to surgery. I've actually taken some tylenol PM's a few night's just to get tired enough to pass out. I envy my husband who can be sleeping by the end of opening credits on a TV show.
Not sure what's causing it but if you believe there is something physically wrong you should give your surgeon a call. Or even your PCP. It could just be something normal but not getting enough sleep isn't good for you any way so anything you can do to help would be good.
I hope your able to get some good sleep in soon....

I cannot sleep either. Doesn't matter if I go to bed at 10 pm or 2 am, I am up at 7 am every day, wide awake. Once I am up tho, I am ready to go and move move move. I am like you that if for some reason I get up earlier, that is it for me, I am up for the day then. Sometimes I yearn for the days when I could sleep till 9 am.

I mentioned not sleeping well to my doctor, and he said that is a sign of depression. I don't really think I'm depressed, but I did up my dosage of Prozac a little just in case. He also said that if I don't "need" the Prozac anymore that could cause sleepin "irregularities". I don't have problems falling asleep, but I have trouble "staying" asleep. I don't wake up enough to function... just enough to be miserable!!! Tylenol PM has helped me. Do you know that the PM part of Tylenol PM is just benadryl? ALL of the over the counter sleep aids that you buy are nothing but benadryl. I just usually take 25-50mg. of benadryl instead of buying Tylenol PM!!
I was so glad when I saw this post!
I have not been sleeping regularly either.
I go to bed at night and always wake up. I just thought it was b/c our dog has started sleeping with us...or it could be b/c I live on an air force base (which is like living at a 24 hour air port)...
Whatever that case, I am glad we are all in the same boat.

I don't know what the deal is with that either. I woke up this morning at 4:30 after getting to sleep at midnight and then I fought "strange" leg cramps. I usually get woken up by leg/foot cramps that vary from foot, ankle, shin, calf and all the way up to my hip. This one last night was the top of my foot near my ankle up the outerside of my calf. I also wake up too early and try to go back to sleep and then oversleep. Today I almost decided to stay up at 4:30 and probably should have because I was very awake and then I overslept and was running out the door within 20 minutes of waking up.
