I'm PREGNANT !!!! I still can't belive it . Don't get me wrong this is great news but just a little soon . Right now I'm down 70 lbs.And I have 33 lbs. more to go. I am a mother of 2 children a 13 year old son and a 19 month old daughter. So as you can see it took years of infertilty treatments and 2 IVF cycles to get my daughter . You can only imagine how unbeliveable this is to me right now. Who would have thought I would get PG !!!! Thanks for listening Laura 238/168/135

Wow, great news. I wasn't sure if I saw you over at the post op pregnancy board recently. I just read the posts there for now cause we haven't started ttc yet. I am trying to wait till I hit the 12 month mark as well as I want to be closer to my goal. Right now I have about 47 pounds to go before I am there so I figure that by the time August-September comes around I should be at my goal. Unless of course I have the worlds worst stall. I am so happy for you. As you may know some people jump on post ops who aren't past the 12 months mark but we all know that as long as your taking care of you everything will be great. The baby takes what it needs no matter what. Not to mention it will be great having a fellow September buddy who can give me advice on what to expect being post op and pregnant. Honestly if it weren't for the fact that I am on hormones still I would probably not be preventing it from happening. Not to mention my older sister just found out she is due with her first baby and I wouldn't want to steal that from her. I figure since she is due October 6th that if I get pregnant around Aug-Sept. I can just keep it to myself until her little bundle arrives. So having a 19 and 13 year old is going to totally be like starting all over again. I am sure you have nothing saved so that means another baby shower. I loved my baby shower and even though I didn't have a bunch of people there it was awesome and we were completely overwhelmed on what we got. I honestly didn't need to buy anything except a swing. As far as not needing any fetility help, that is totally awesome. We were unable to afford anything like that and after 5 years and one miscarriage I finally gave up all hope. The following month I was pregnant and now my daughter is going on 2.5 years old. Sorry for babbeling but I really am excited and very happy for you and I hope you have a happy healthy 9 months...... Congrats Laura! I'm sure you and baby will be fine, you are nearly done with your weight loss anyway! Keep in close contact with your docs and online post-wls pregnancy boards and I'm sure you'll stay on top of any special attention you may need. I actually took a pregnancy test last week even though my hubby was "fixed" a few years ago, my period was over a week late (probably from all the changes I've been going through) and I was so nervous! I just had to know. Well, I'm not, though we would have been happy either way (though I would have had to recover from my heart attack!) But I am very happy for you! I wish you and your family all the best! A baby is such a blessing! Love, Sue
