a size large dress

My mother is going to Hawaii in March. She recently went out and bought some clothing, dresses etc... She has a very pretty dress, size large that I said oh what the heck let me try this on. So I decided to try it on today and low and behold it actually fit. It doesn't look all that beautiful because of the bumps and lumps of fat but if I were to get me one of those binder's or maybe something to hold in the fat from my boobs to my tummy it would look amazing. LOL The purpose of this post was just to say that it actually fit and maybe with another 15-20 it will look decent. Especially since it is a summer dress and we are in the midst of a cold winter I wouldn't even be wearing it for another 4-5 months. I hope I lose 15-20 pounds by then..... Shannon

A friend told me about wearing a girdle - and I said I might consider it when I'm at least in the 200-199 area but not now..and those things are so expensive and hard to find for us "big" gals. I'm just waiting to see - but good luck to you - you'll get to wearing that dress and other sexy clothes in no time!

I am soooo jealous! It will be at least another 9 months or more before I can even consider a size large in clothing depending on the weight loss Jealousy aside, I think you are doing fantastic and I am positive you will lose the little extra to make the dress even more beautiful on you. Keep up your good work! Doreen

Hey Shannon, Girl, get yourself a bodyshaper. I had never even heard of one before i started losing weight. One of my friends introduced me to a bodyshaper and i've not gone a day without one since. I only wear the brief panties that suck in your belly, but it is wonderful and it keeps the lumps and bumps from showing. I would suggest these to anyone that might want to smooth things out, if you know what i mean. I've had to buy different sizes along the way, but it has been money well spent. Good luck and keep up the great work!!

Happy dance! I'm so excited for you! I also have one of those body shaper undies. It's not a full on girdle, but it just gives you some support under certain types of clothes. But you probably won't even need it by summer when your mom's dress is likely to be TOO BIG! You are doing so awesome Shannon! Update your pics, woman! Love, Sue
