As a BBW, I occasionally struggled with fungal infections under my boobs and belly. I quit using corn starch powders and kept them dry and all went away. Now, after losing 100 pounds, the FUNGUS is back with a vengence! I knew this may happen but at 4 1/2 months out, I feel this is a little early! ULGH! Any others struggling with this? Also, Ive really noticed much stronger ODORS since surgery coming from ME! Im a really clean person and I dont LIKE this! My monthly visitor odor is SO much more noticeable. ULGH again! Any of you willing to admit similar issues! Good Luck to us all! Leslie -100

I had a lot of infections prior to surgery. I noticed very recently I have some sort of infection in my belly button. Possably from the surgery, I am not sure. As far as my monthly visitor, I have also noticed it has become more noticeable as well. I figured maybe it was just me. I am also very clean, now more then ever. I just hope it's the whole body going through a cleansing....... I hope your other issues clear up fast, if not you may want to talk to your PCP or another doctor to get something stronger to take care of it. Shannon

One positive possibility... I've heard MANY people on the boards say how their sense of smell is much stronger after surgery. Maybe you are just more sensitive to smells now and it's not actually an increase in the odor. As far as the rashes under the boobs and belly, try and take some digital photos in the event you require some reconstructive surgery (boob lift/tummy tuck) this will serve as documentation for medical necessity and insurance will be more likely to cover it. I had rashes before when I was heavier and I came to the realization that the powder was making it worse. I scrubbed everything squeaky clean (only scrub hard like that once or you'll start up a counter irritation) and slept nekkid . Air circulation is the best thing for those pesky hot zones. Hope you feel better and congrats on being a century club member. ~Sue

Oh, and I forgot to say, keep the area really dry. Make sure you dry really well after your showers. This is so important.

I too suffer on occasion with similar problems. I use Zeasorb powder it is an antifungal. Sometimes is behind the counter at the drugstore. It has a higher percentage of antifungal agent than most others. I will be looking forward to plastic surgery sometime next year. Good luck

Use a blow dryer on your 'nether-regions' to dry, this helps a ton. I haven't had any problems since surgery, but before, this really helped. Kell
